Narc, you're welcome to come in even if you don't need anything, like the rest of us junkies do. We're here just because it's here. Hope you don't mind being thrown in with a bunch of plant addicts, (the legal kind).

I have been so busy with work that the yard had to basically put on hold but it has slowed down now. I also started a support board and that is time consuming as well.

We have had a beautiful weekend here, I have been able to plant and pull weeds and just enjoy being outdoors.

I planted 2 Phlox Robert P variety, one for me and one for a dear friend who is fighting cancer once again, I have never had a phlox but when I saw the beautiful purple blooms I thought this is just what we need.

I hope they do well, I told her I would plant something special for her.

Count me in the addict part. i could spend all day planting and pulling weeds! :)

It is good to hear from you. It seems that all I do here lately is work and then work some more.

We had over 8 inches of rain here in one weeks time about 3 weeks ago, it is amazing to me how this heat has already turned some of this blackland into concrete.

We spread some dirt and planted some Buffalo grass seed, it is coming along really well. Had some gravel delivered and made a path along the house from the garage to the dog run, it turned out really nice.

Just pulling weeds and planting flowers.

too much too fast instead of a little spread out over a longer period ... who's in charge of this watering system anyhows. But at least you get some.

We had a little bit of rain here yesterday, but it looks like it will all be south of us.

Isn't it funny how the water can totally saturate the soil so there's flooding one week, and then only days later be dry and hard as concrete? I just watered today, after flash flood warnings abounded last week.

I sure wish Dave would add features of icons we could add, like smiles, or flowers........ I like to add a little tulip after my posts. I do it on most of my emails.

I got an email from Marcia today that had animated smilies working in the garden, today. SO CUTE!

Dave has nixed the idea of avatars and graphics several times. I'm afraid I'm a party-pooper, too....I agree with him on that one. Forums tend to get really cluttered when there's too much of that stuff. They take more server space and take longer to load, too. I love how DG is lean and mean, with the only graphics being simple, unanimated, and clean.
