Hot Temps already

Mt.Pleasant, SC(Zone 8b)

Its already in the 90's here. We had a beautiful but very brief spring. Looks like it's going to be a long hot one for all of us here in Charleston, SC. Better luck to the rest of you gardeners.

Knoxville, TN(Zone 7a)

We are experiencing the same weather here. It has been so hot and dry that our grass is already starting to turn brown. This doesn't bode well for this summer. :(

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

It's been as high as the mid to upper-80's, but nothing like what you guys have had. We've had quite a bit of rain. It's spoiling me not having to water, but I bet anything the rains will pass and it will be another dry summer here.

Colorado Springs, CO(Zone 6a)

I know how yall feel-- it's been 100 two days this week. Absolutley ridiculous! I do like having the excuse to go out and garden a while longer to conteract the heat...but it gets hot on my back too fast for May!! It's supposed to rain, but they've been saying that since the weekend. Send it this way Kim :)

Verona, ON

All we have is rain here in Ontario. There are flood warnings everywhere across the province and there has not been one weekend since it was officially declared Spring that we have not had rain in some form either on the Saturday or the Sunday. On top of all of that it is chilly. There has only been a couple of days where the temp got over 70.
Gotta wonder what is in store for the summer don't you?D

Camilla, GA(Zone 8a)

On the farm, rain is needed so bad..Irrigation systems running 24/7, and that is not good with fuel so high$$.. it was 95 degrees here today and the same for tomorrow and no rain in sight..

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I wish I could have sent you some of yesterdays rain! We got washed out and my GH roof caved in, in just a matter of minutes! We have already hit 90 a few times.

Hempstead, TX(Zone 8b)

we had the best spring we've had in yrs. rain and cooler temps. now the summer has hit in the 90's and everything is dry already.
badseed sorry to hear about your gh roof. hope nothing got damaged.

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

Edgewater, MD(Zone 7a)

Sarv come visit me, we've been having averages of 85.

Panhandle, FL(Zone 8a)

No rain here in months except for a few showers.....plants are just sitting there looking at me with that thirsty look.
Larkie, have you gotten rain yet? I know your farm is in desperate need of it, do you know how to dance?

Mt.Pleasant, SC(Zone 8b)

No rain in sight here either, I had 3 weeks of pretty lawn fronting my big flower bed but the grass has already started developing problems. Flowers are ever so much easier than grass. I really hate that stuff. It looks really yellow and burnt in places. Don't know what that is but treated with a all purpose fungicide.
Look s like everyones weather is a real mixed bag. Good luck everyone.
