When I search, say, magilla perilla threads, where it says "click here for first instance of magilla perilla", it doesn't take me anywhere. Am I missing something?

Liz, it's a capitalization issue. When I did a site-wide search for magilla perilla (lower case), it brought up four results including this thread (which worked properly.

The second result was this one: http://davesgarden.com/t/418224/magilla+perilla and the "skip to first instance didn't work properly, but the text capitalizes both words.

The third result here: http://davesgarden.com/t/407585/magilla+perilla works properly (the results are lower case)

And the fourth one: http://davesgarden.com/t/382151/magilla+perilla also didn't work because the words were capitalized.

If you repeat the experiment with capitalized letters for the entire name, the results are the exact opposite - results 1 & 3 will not come up, but 2 & 4 will.

I'll ask Dave to consider making the search results case insensitive - which should make everyone's searches more effective. But I do think I'll wait until he's got the image upload and navigation issues resolved before I ask him to look into this one ;o)

I didn't realize it was case sensitive. I've experienced the same thing. Thanks for the heads-up.

No problem, Liz. I didn't realize it was case-sensitive either until this question came up and I had to really analyze WHY the results were acting the way they were. (It's true: you do learn something new every day *grin*)
