Valuable information

Oklahoma City, OK(Zone 7a)

I've learned some valuable information today that I thought I should pass along to you in case it could be of some benefit to anyone.

#1 - There is a extraordinary amount of powder in one of those little travel-size bottles of Johnson's Baby Powder.

#2 - The little belts that go with robes also make great leashes for cats, unless they are tied into knots.

#3 - Cat's like chocolate chip cookies.

#4 - Four year olds know how to gargle with lemonade.

#5 - Jumping off of bathroom counters can result in injury.

#6 - Four year olds can also make great pretend puppies except when they are wearing princess dresses, in which case, it is very difficult to crawl on all fours.

#7 - A four year old can leap over a cat with a single bound...provided there isn't a trash can close by.

#8 - When anyone brings you licorice in bed, it's best to eat it right away.

And, a couple from the last 2 days....

#9 - Ceiling fans do cause knots on little heads when they both collide.

#10 - The gel in gel pens apparently doesn't taste very good.

#11 - Biting the antennae off of a telephone can cause it to stop working properly.

#12 - Don't keep more than one bottle of Johnsons Baby Powder in your home.

LOL, Carla!!! Are these all from personal experience this week!!??? Bless your heart and your humor and your obvious patience with the wee ones!!!

Southwestern, OH(Zone 6b)

Oh......... I remember the powder! I was sweeping it up forever! I had an Economy size container!!

Hugs Carla, sounds like you've had a trying week. :-)

Oh, this is mostly all from today. I'm in good spirits, so it's not so bad. Some days, I get pretty worn out, but that usually involves something sticky, something on the carpet - or both. :) This is all from one child, by the way.

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

LOL!!! Bless that child! Sounds like you've got one curious, ornery daredevil on your hands. Leah (she's 2) is my daredevil. My older two are 14 and 10 - we thought we were done having kids and then God blessed us with Leah. Bless her heart. I always tell everyone that at 39 - she's what keeps me feeling so young!! I'm chasing after her all day long! She's just so curious about everything and has no fear of anything! I can appreciate your exhaustion, Carla.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

ROTFLOL Carla! Wanna come spend a day at my house? Then you can really be happy-not your house and not your kids! :)

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

ROFLMBO aren't they wonderful? I can't wait till I have grandkids doing things like this so I can send them home. lol

Little ones are such curious, innocent creatures and ya gotta love em!

And I thought our two new cats, Puff 'n Stuff, were constant disasters always in motion, unless, of course, they're asleep! Then it's "Do Not Disturb!!!"

Rule #1: This needs to be on the floor.
Rule #2: Can I manage to get up there/fit over/in there???????
Rule #3: Stomp, stomp, stomp, Hi!!!!!!! Aren't you up yet???????
Rule #4: All right, already, where's the tuna???????
Rule #5: Maybe I will......a-a-nd......ma-a-ay--be I won't.
Rule #6: Whatdya mean I can't sleep there????
Rule #7: Are you sure you mean "no?" "Really?" "Positive?"
Rule #8: Oh, I forgot you said "no!" "I thought it was OK now."
Rule #9: Where does that water go????? You gotta watch this!!
Rule #10: Ah, you have a fresh glass of water. Just what I was looking for!
Rule #11: Hummmm.....I wonder what that tastes like???
Rule #12: Hey! Come quick! I found an edible, moving toy!! (bug)

You know? That sounds just like my DD when she was a kid!!!!!

I have a four year old son. He's much easier to get along with than the cat or the MIL. Instead of disaster-prone, he is dramatic (and romantic.) He tells me, "You're my best buddy!" Or last night upon going to bed, "I'm going to dream about HER." Who? "Her, she is going to find clues and I'm going to help her fight evil monsters. ((SIGHHHHHH)) She's so pretty. What's her name?" "Mommy,...MOMMY,What is her name." [It's Angela who owns the antique and gift shop downtown, only about 30 years his senior. It took me over 10 minutes to get him out of her shop.]

south central, WI(Zone 5a)

wonderful stories, made my day. :)
My knowlege.
1. If there is anything gross in the yard- dogs will find it and roll in it.
2. Little fingers will find anything that you do not want them to find.
3. Beware of digging to the bottom of the purse, aliens have left their spacecraft garbage there-it is of no known origin.
4. Do not try to double the batch of cream puffs

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

LOL Carla!! Thank you for the e-mail today! I have 3 boys ages 5,4,and 2 1/2. We also learned some things today!
1--ceiling fans and balloons don't mix
2--a rocking chair doesn't make for a soft landing of the top of a bunk bed!
3--It doesn't take a full bottle of tear free shampoo to shampoo a 2 year old's hair!LOL and it's not always tear free!
4--Oh! and speaking of hair...last week....syrup is for pancakes not to be used as shampoo!
5--Finally, not all bugs taste good says my 4 year old..no matter what his older brother tells him!!! LOL!!!

Ah, innocence. ;)

I learned today that it is unwise to pour coffee into a cup you are holding between your knees, especially if you are using your "dumb" hand!

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)
