I've noticed that posts have been pulled from a co-op thread and a member cannot post to it even if they have a question concerning their order. I spent almost $60 on plants in this co-op and it looks like the door is being shut by management on members who placed an order in good faith and cannot even request or read the status of their orders. I think at least the members who participated in this co-op should have had some kind of notification as to what is going on - whether by a post at the end of the thread or by a private email. These are just my thoughts. Carol
Co-op Forum Question
Carol, I think you may be jumping to a premature and wrong conclusion. As far as I know, nothing has been pulled from the thread - I know I haven't edited it and I seriously doubt Dave has, since he's working on the ISP issues we're experiencing. I suspect the problem is that it's a VERY long thread (304 responses to-date) and because of the server/ISP problems, the entire thread is not loading. In fact, I just tried it twice and can't get the whole thing to load. When there are concerns, I would like to think that:
a) our members, especially those who have been here a long time, will look at our track record for handling problems, and give us the benefit of the doubt; and
b) members know they can contact Dave or me privately if they feel we're handling something improperly, and at least give us the opportunity to investigate and/or offer an explanation before "taking us to task" publicly - in this case for something that I'm pretty sure we're not guilty of.
Definitely some glitches Dave must be working on - tried to read a couple of threads that were long and all would not come up. One had over 150 posts and only about 10 were showing.
Terry, thank you for taking the time to reply to my post. I hope you don't mind me playing devil's advocate here, but I did check other threads that were long in length to make sure it wasn't just a glitch in general before I posted concerning this. This just didn't happen today - I noticed this yesterday as well and in all honesty I was waiting for a post from management addressing the situation.
I've been a manager/supervisor before and what you think someone would generally assume is not always the case - sometime communication has to be involved. I would have hoped that at least one of the 25 people would have emailed you about this - I didn't see a reason to be redundant about the matter via an email.
Oh well, just call it prenuptial jitters on my part. I am getting remarried on the 29th of this month and don't want my plants left sitting out on the porch while I am out of town. My border collies are smart, but they won't be home to plant them because they are traveling with us. ;o)
