My hard drive crashed. There were so many damaged files that my nephew-computer-geek had me buy a new hard drive. However, after 3 days effort, my computer still won't accept it and boot up. I am writing from work and will hollar asap. Happy Gardening!

Hi, I had computer woes and did not quite realize that my computer is my main form of communication. Argh!! I hope that your's is fixed soon.

I can definitely relate. I really missed DG when my hard drive crashed.

why did ya'lls hard drives crash anyway? was it virus oriented or something? some I should be looking out for?

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

No, I don't think I have a virus. Mine crashed about 10 days ago. I bought a new hard-drive but have not been able to install it. I am operating on an old, used hard-drive with 1 GIG. I hope we can get this thing figured out and get the new one installed soon. I really miss my camera, which I used and posted pix a lot. I also miss the PDB, which I can't access with this pathetic drive. But at least I can communicate
In fact, I have a question that has gone unanswered on the Annuals Forum. Does Lantana need fertilizer and what ph does it prefer? I am growing some as an annual here.
Edited for all the missing words and other typos that I made because I had just gotten up. Didn't realize my brain was so fuzzy in the morning......

Just looked up Lantana in the PDB for you. Ph prefered is neutral...6.6-7.5. No fertilizer requirements were mentioned. I read all the comments and no one mentioned fert. either. Hope this helps!

Thanks, kooger. I went out and planted them with some lime, but no fertilizer. The soil looks pretty rich and that's probably all they need. If they grow but don't bloom much, I will add some bone meal because our soil is very low in phosphates..

you're very welcome! :)
