What exactly does the "live view" do? I guess I'm missing the difference; maybe the entries in which I clicked "live view" weren't ones where it would show me anything different?

Dave would have to give the technical (read: correct) explanation, but I think "live view" is akin to "real time", meaning any changes that have been made to the entry in the past few minutes are shown.

Unless you click on live view, what you see is the way the entry looked a few minutes ago. For most entries, there is no difference, and the reason for presenting the PDB data this way is system performance: showing a slightly delayed or "aged" view of each entry allows us to provide faster access to the PDB to more people.

Oh, I've gotcha; so we're vieweing a cached copy unless we click "live view". Good idea.
