More cultivars you can browse now....

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Dave gave me the green light to add some additional cultivar-intensive genera to the pulldown list, so we now have the following sections of cultivars we can browse (new additions are in bold):

Beans
Brugmansias
Cannas
Corn
Crape Myrtles

Daylilies
Heucheras
Hibiscus
Hostas
Iris
Potatoes
Roses
Tomatoes
Waterlilies

More will be added as the number of cultivars increases. The extra-nice feature of the pulldown browse is that when you select one, you'll be taken to a page where you'll see the most recent images and comments for just that genus beneath the navigation tools - kind of like having little PDBs for each genus ;o)

Terry....how about clematis??

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Once we start getting more varieties of Clematis added (Paulwhwest is helping with that endeavor), I'll be very happy to make them "browse-able" ...at this point, I'm using a threshold of 100 cultivars before I add them to the browse list. Clematis currently has 79 entries, many of which are species ;o)

Very good, Terry. Guess I better start seeing what I can do to help out in that area. I'm still going through my own plants and adding those that are missing from the PDB. Maybe in the near future I can give some help in clematis or another genus.

Morning Terry -

Would it be possible to add Coleus to the list (Solenostemon scutellarioides now stands at 272) ?

Thx

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Yes ma'am it sure would - I'll try to get it taken care of this afternoon, but it might be another day or so.

ta-da: http://plantsdatabase.com/finder/index.php?sname=Coleus&submit=Go

(For some reason, it's not showing up on the PDB homepage drop-down list, but if you choose another cultivar, then from the second page, re-select a cultivar to browse it'll show up. I think it's just a cache-ing issue which should resolve itself shortly.)

Thanks Terry....you are good. :-)
