My cable modem was damaged by the lighting strike last wednesday at midnight. But we got 4 major lighting strike in our back yard and one of them almost hit on our bedroom south window. We lost two pine trees to the lighting. They are going to die! Yay! I hate pine trees. DH was disappointed about loosing other pine trees. It was so scary. We was awake after our neighbor called us at midnight and warning us that there's are flooding all over. We got up and looked out the window.. Oh my. I went out and checked to make sure we don't leave things on yard or it will float away. LUcky, our house are on high ground . The lighting was so so bad. It poured over 6 inches of rain.

I couldnt get on online yesterday all day, man came by and installed new cable modem in and it work now. Whew.

So far my plants look happy afrer those raining. LOL

When we had lightening strike near our house last July, it not only took out the modem, but the whole pc, 3 20" TVs, 3 VCRs, & a portable Telephone. I took the pc to a shop & they were able to retrieve most of the data on my hard drive, but the rest of the pc was junk. Since I got a new pc, I've been backing up all my data, just to be on the safe side.

Glad you didn't lose more then the modem. Hosta especially like lots of water, so they should trive in your rain.
