Everything is growing and starting to bloom. I have not had the time for the past couple of months to do all that I need to. I still have things to plant and seedlings to put out. I am just now starting to have more time so maybe things will look prettier in a month or so.
Garden starting to look like spring
Well, I'm just absolutely in awe, Nanny, I cannot imagine how it could be any more beautiful or perfect!!!
u're garden is very lovely Frannie. everything is luscious and growing nicely. thanks for sharing.
Frannie, it is even better than last year. Beautiful. I just love it and can't wait to see pictures later too.
"THUD" ~~ That was me falling smack dab on my face !! That is so totally awesome !! WOW....I could move right in there and live my life out in that setting. That is absolutely beautiful !! You have made a garden of Eden....for sure. Thank you so much for sharing.
Carolyn
Brugnanny, that is beautiful. I love it.
Its beautiful Frannie! Gosh! I will also be waiting for more pics for your amazing yard! This is such a nice time of year.
Frannie, your garden looks wonderful! Your plants are so big and budding already.
Very inviting! That's awe inspiring and I love the paths.
Thanks for sharing...
That is very very pretty! I'm jealous! I need to go get the old jeans on and do some more work! :)
Ohhhhhhh WHAT I wouldn't give if I had Plants like this in Zone 4
ABSOLUTELY beautiful !!! :-)))
Thanks for sharing,
Brigitte
What a beautiful setting! You're so lucky too in that you can enjoy your yard all year! I can't wait to see more of your yard!
Bonnie
I love the design of the garden paths..nice garden.
So pretty Frannie! The brugs look so at home there. What are the purple flowers in the front corner?
Frannie, that is my dream backyard. It is just beautiful. If it gets any more beautiful than that, I will just have to jump in my car and take a trip down I-10 to your house. LOL
Leave it to Kell to find a purple flower. LOL!
Brigitte, you can have brugs in your zone. You might not get as many flushes of blooms as those in warmer climates, but I'm not much ahead of you and I can do it so give it a shot. We might get another gardener addicted to brugs. LOL!
Wallpaper!!!!! You have really been working hard, and it sure does show!
Kell, it looks like a purple Mexican Petunia. I have them all around a large circle in our driveway and they multiply like crazy. I also have the pink and the white ones. The white don't seem to multiply as much, but they may be because they are in more shade and don't bloom as well.
This reminds me, Shirley, I'm still waiting for the small pink ones the yardman didn't weed out to get big enough to send you.
Frannie, I just showed your yard to my DH and even he said it was beautiful. This coming from someone who thinks a yard should just be grass. Borrrring!
Thanks to all of you for all your kind and complimentary words. I still have much to do and other plants to plant. With two serious surgeries in my family the past couple of months, I have been spending most of my time in a caregiver role and we all know that comes before gardening.
This is only a part of the garden because it is impossible to get it all in. I will post more pictures from different angles so that you can see more of the pathways.
Sylvia, anytime you are in the area you are more than welcome to come by. Also tell your DH thank you.
Kell, the lower left purple are Ruella that I got from Gloria. I have the purple and the pink. I have big bunches in other areas of the garden and I could easily divide them if you want some. They bloom all summer and I just love them along with the memories attached.
On the lower right is white and blue plumbago. It is kind of hard to see the blue from a distance.
I'm jealous and in the back of my mind i'm planning a secret trip to Texas so look out Frannie!!!(LOL)
Oh forgot to mention the yard is beautiful!
Frannie, beautiful garden and very relaxing. Althought I know you don't get much relaxing done. Everything is so neat and ordered.
Reply to Brugie ,
Hi again......I never thought of trying them here in Zone 4 b .Which ones would you or anyone recommend ?
*****
I fell in Love with Brugmansia's many Years ago when my Husband was stationed at Ft.Sam Houston/San Antonio. Many many very FOND :-) memories i.e.Breckenridge park etc.
would love to try some but have to admit that would be a very first for me so any help would be greatly appreciated,
Brigitte
I don't think it makes a lot of difference what you start out with. Do you have access to brugs in the nurseries in your area? I think it would be best if you got a plant or cuttings this fall so it would have a little size to it when you put it out in the spring. When is your first frost in the fall?
So very pretty BrugNanny...
Breathtaking ...
Frannie that's beautiful. I don't know how you find the time. I think I need to borrow you for a few weeks to come work on my yard.
BrugNanny your garden is exquisite! My bags are packed, I'm on my way. :-)
Shirley posted: Do you have access to brugs in the nurseries in your area?
Heck NO!!! The ONLY ones I've found, I've begged for, one peach, one yellow, no names, NO instructions. I've begged all my nursery guys to get brugs and they swear they will. Yeah, sure, okay, give me a call, huh??!!
Frannie, everything looks just beautiful. Just the way my DW wants ours to look, but too many plants and I kinda like the jungle look. Does not take so much work. lol. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Take care.
Larry
Your gardens are beautiful as always Frannie!
David you are welcome to come for a visit anytime.
Right now I am working in the yard and trying to do spring cleaning. Last night I was up until 2:30 cleaning out drawers in my workroom/hobby room. I have decided that I will not be doing much more sewing or crafts and I need to get rid of this stuff. It is also where I save boxes and I decided that they filled up so much space that those got thrown out also. If I need a box for shipping, I will go and get one.
I have accumulated so many things through the years . . most gifts and I have kept everything. I am determined that I am going to donate many things to a Disabled Veterans Store here that sells and most of all the money goes to help them.
What I am getting at is that you sure don't want to come when the house is a mess because when I am cleaning out it seems that things get spread everywhere.
I can only hope that you will come and visit sometime.
Edited to say........Larry, I look forward to seeing you soon in MS

Heyyyy...no fair....
Everyone has already used all the great words to describe your garden, Frannie. :(
What can I say but that it gave me a fuzzy feeling all over, put a smile on my face, and a dreamy look in my eyes......
Oh and it's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! :)
Welcome to Daves Brigitte. Glad to see you here. You are in big trouble now. Brugie's posts reminded me of the spider talking to the fly.
Thanks Frannie, I may be able to find somem Ruella here. I will have to look. Funny I never see Mexican petunias around here!
Post more pics Frannie!
You have a lovely Garden Brugnanny! I wish mine looked like that in spring. ;)
How gorgeous!!
Wow, I am not a brug-head, but I *LOVE* and envy your walk and beds! So glad it was Forum Photo of the Day, I'd have missed it otherwise.
I am going to save this picture for inspiration when Blooms and I tackle the last open space in my lot next spring!
~'spin!~
WoW
Double WOW!! You DEFINITELY have a green thumb! This is what the Garden of Eden must look like.....
