Got to think early this morning about how we can help increase membership and awareness.

Is there something here at Daves that is like a "printable flyer" that we could print out and pass out?

Like this fall (or spring) , i want to try to get a booth at the home and garden show. Would be great advertisement to have a handful of flyers on the table for people to pick up.

Also, DavesGarden is copyrighted, right? If so what are the legalities of using it on a banner type thing over the booth?
Just curious

I thought there used to be one, but now I don't find it, just the media kit. http://davesgarden.com/media.php

I'm guessing the flyer we had *may* need some updating and tweaking - the text was written a good two years ago, and I've got a to-do somewhere on my list to update the tour and media kit text. Dave, if you can give me a link to the old flyer I can work on it at the same time.

MSJen, Dave can answer the logo copyright question for a banner, but my gut instinct is that as long as you're using it to promote DG in a way that isn't contrary to our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) I don't see why there would be any problem using it ;o)

The old flier is in the DG footer, click on "Media". (Darius also linked to it).

Terry, the flier that I made for Hill Country Gardens would be a good place to start, with your additions, of course.

Jen,

I was thinking about T-Shirts to wear to place like City Park Plant Sales, since we lost most of our group for hours last weekend. We could give free advertisement & keep up with everyone using bright color T-Shirts. You beat to the punch in asking Dave if we could use the logo.

Dave, can we use it or do you have T-Shirts. Plus, can we use it for our Round-Up in Mississippi in Oct.?? You, Trish & baby should drop-in for our Round-Up. What a treat that would be!!

The new media kit/printable flyer is up and running. Sundry was a big help in editing it, and Dave has worked his magic. (We might need to cajole him into adding the DG logo back on the printed version, though ;o)

It's at the bottom of each page, or click on this link: http://davesgarden.com/media.php

Oh, Dave I just noticed that "discussion forums" in the "What makes DG unique?" section isn't a hyperlink. (And I couldn't find one to the forums anywhere else within the online version.)

Very nicely done.
