Another search members question

Dave,

I have another possible solution to my situation. Tell me if this would work.

This is based on my thread: http://davesgarden.com/t/427276/

Is there a chance that I could search by date of signup and have the dates appear in chronological order?

In case I miss anyone on the "New Subscribers" box on the bottom right of each page, I'd like to be able to go to the Member Lists by zone and search for folks who signed up, for instance, in the last month.

What do you think of that idea?

Bumping up as I was gone for the last week and it has become apparent to me (once again) that this would still be of great benefit to me when I'm away from the computer for any length of time.

Hi Carla,

Yes, this is available right now. Here's how to do it:

Go to the MemberList and scroll way down to the section called "Browse by date of signup:"

Click on the date (pick July-2004 for example).

Then click on "Click here to view only subscribers."

Presto! You're seeing all the subscribers, sorted by their signup date. This is the same data as what's in the "newest subscribers" but sorted slightly different.

Does that work?

That's it! That's it! That's it!

Oh, yeah. Perfect. Thanks so much. Now I can send welcome messages to all of the folks I missed last week while I was out running around. Yeeeehhhhhhaaaaaawwwww!

Excellent!! Hmm. Do you send the exact same message to each person, or do you customize it?

If the latter, I'd be willing to make the system automatically send it for you, as each person subscribes...

Dave,

It's usually the same message unless I have lived near or visited the location they list as their "home". I then add an extra note. Or, if I like something about their DG name, I might add a comment about that.

Yes, I figured that was the case. Well, we better stick with what's working then. The personal touch makes a huge difference and would be lost in automation.

Would my email still be the one they see? If so, quite a few folks write back to me. Out of every 15-20 folks I send messages to, I might make an additional comment.

Howdy Smiln32 and Dave,

I send out "Welcome" messages too. Thanks for the "Presto" magic trick Dave, that's mighty handy.

TC...
