Thread Watcher ...

This is freakie weird. Maybe it's a "feature", but I sort of hope not.

Anytime Dave has a new posting in this forum, and I read it, it ends up on my "watched thread" list. I have to go back to the thread and "unwatch" to stop seeing it on my watched list.

Why is it doing this? I'd rather be able to choose which threads I watch rather than have an "auto-watch" feature.

I have the ability to add threads to your watched list myself. So, that's what happened this time - I added the two namechange announcement threads to everyone's thread watcher, to make sure that everyone saw them.

ahhh.. okay. Because they didn't come up until I originally looked at them. Each thread had multiple posts on it, and it didn't come up "watched" until I looked at it once on my own.

She's right, Dave. A thread that you add to the watch list doesn't show up at the top of the page until you look at the thread first, tho it does show up on the list of "threads you are watching" on your member page.

Defeats the purpose .... *sigh*

Mere as I understand it, I think you had to look at the thread first and then it automatically got added to your watchlist. We didnt forget you! Although you did miss a stressful saga:)
