I haven't heard of it either, but because you just posted this message I just placed an oder with them. They are having a 50% off sale that ends today, and there were some plants that I've been wanting to try.

I will let you all know what I think of them when I receive my order.

Thanks Christi for posting this site for us.

Hope you don't buy toooo much. hehe

Awwww....Donna I went for shade stuff this time. Got a new shade bed that's bare save a few astilbe I moved , 1 puny hosta and some bare roots I bought (bleeding heart). I ordered some hosta and geraniums. I really liked their website. Very classy.

Brenda,

I ordered a few unusal ones for me that I know most people don't trade with. I ordered some shade plants through the Sunshine Farms Coop.

I sure wish I could grow Hostas. When we moved into this new house over 5 yrs. ago, the back yard was mostly shade. I got on the computer looking for shade plants and found the 'other' site and the Hosta Forums. I got hooked really good and ended up with over 25 different hostas from trades and such. Now I only have about 5 puny ones left, as they don't do well here without some really cold winters.

Three years ago, my neighbor in the back of me, finally cut down his 16 ficus trees down and I finally have SUN. I had to build me a little arbor across the back to save my shade plants, and thats plenty for me.

Just wondering if anyone that ordered from this company has received their order yet. My confirmation stated that they would ship the week of May 17th and I haven't received anything yet. I emailed them today to ask if they were shipped yet, but I haven't had my mail return yet.

Please post here if you have any info.
Thanks,
Donna

Donna - I emailed them last week as I didn't notice the "ship week of May 17th" on the website. I emailed them on Sat. 15th and Kim responded on Sunday the 16th and said they would ship this week. I, too, haven't seen my order yet. I'll email them too and we can compare responses. I noted that shipment is suppose to be by UPS 3-Day which I'm hoping they didn't ship late in the week and my plants are sitting in a truck or warehouse somewhere right now!!

Thanks for the update Brenda. I'll let you know when and if I get an email back from them.
I sure hope they realize that I am on the West Coast and need to send by the first of the week too.

Between this order and the coop order, I'm tapping my feet waiting for my plants. I have a lot of empty spots that are waiting for all these lovely plants. And then to top it off, I just added my name to the secret plant trade. Sheesh!! lol

Donna

ps, can you tell that I have a "lot" of empty holes to fill?

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

This and the coop are my last orders for this season until fall planting gets a bit closer (but I have to admit I've already got a Fall Planting shopping list going!!). I joined the secret swap too (my first), but I have to admit I've still got a patio table full of greenhouse purchases this week to do containers. And I've a got a handful of daylilies to go in the ground but have been indecisive about WHERE to put them. And I've still got a flat each of columbine and calendula seedlings that I started from seed and are desperate for an in-ground home!

Maybe I've got some things for your "holes"!!! LOL! If you need anything for shade let me know as I think I went a bit overboard.

Donna -

I think they are a pretty small outfit because this Kim I keep getting email replies from is always working late at night on the weekends. Received this reply to my order shipment inquiry at 1:35am CDT:

"This is just to let you know that we are running about 3 day's behind on shipping for late crop
specials for the week of May 17th. We are using all available staff and daylight hours to fill
orders as quickly as possible. You should receive your order by Wednesday or Thursday"

Sooooo....hopefully we'll have our orders later this week!

Hey Brenda, I came on DG this morning to post this same message to you. lol My time said 11:30 pm, so they must do all there replies after working all day.

I'm so ready for these plants, so hope they show up this week.

I'll let you know when I receive mine, K? :-)

Donna

Mount Prospect, IL(Zone 5a)

Anyone get theirs yet? hopefully they will arrive this week, weather is really warming up!

Huntington Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

Yippee,

My plants arrived today and are they nice!! I am thrilled with the size of these plants and the way they shipped them. Each plant was encased in cedar chips in a plastic bag and the roots were still nice and moist. One of the plants, a Veronica Speedwell is hugh...the roots on these are so big that it looks like they were in a 1 gal. pot.

I have them soaking in some B-1 and water for tonite and will plant them tomorrow. I will surely give this Company a good rating in the Watch Dog.

I hope you all get yours soon. Let us all know, K?

Donna

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

I got mine today too, Donna. Hosta are bare roots with growth just beginning but very extensive root systems.

I ordered some geranium (cranesbill) and they are just regular 2-1/2 pots, and a bit dry, but should be fine.

Kind of odd that the email she sent didn't advise that the shipment was on it's way??? To have arrived today they had to ship them on Friday or Thursday. I think they are probably pretty busy and maybe not so organized. I'll give them a good rating in GW but recommend that they work on their communication/cust. service interface a bit. Looks like a promising company to do business with in the future.

Mine haven't come yet, I think we all ordered at the same time. Maybe I had better email them and give them a nudge? Doris

Mount Prospect, IL(Zone 5a)

Just sent an email to them asking about the status of my order. Hopefully I will hear! I see today is the last day of their half price sale and it says you must take May 24th delivery! Was I ever tempted again! The Bowl of Beauty peony was $8.49!, but I didn't. If I don't hear, I may just call them up on the phone!

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

Doris--my guess is you'll get an email in the late hours tonight or early tomorrow morning. I'll be curious to see what date they ended up actually shipping your order (if it's before or after your email). I left GW feedback, but am still a bit skeptical of their shipping estimates vs. actual shipment time. Brenda
