Since last night, every time I close my browser, I am logged out of DG. My mom called to tell me she was logged out, too. Neither of us has changed security or cookie settings. I am using Firefox 8 and she is using IE 6. Has something changed? TIA, Kimberley
P.S. This is not happening with Howie, who also uses Firefox 8.

Are cookies working?
I looked at the Cookie Manager in FF8 and the ones for DG all say "expiration: end of session". Is that set by DG or by the user? I've done nothing to these setting prior to this happening.
When DG sets the cookie, it makes it "permanent" (expiring at the end of the unix world; the epoch: 2038).
So, something else is altering your settings, which would be some software product, I'm guessing. You know more about this than I do, GW. :)

It's weird - just started last night. Not sure what's up, especially since mom and I use different OS and browsers. Just reasoning out loud here. Thanks for the quick reply, Dave! :D
Not happening here; Win98 with IE5. (Talk about antiquated!)
Just happened again when I opened my browser. Even after I changed FF so all cookies from the originating site would be accepted and not just session cookies, I had to log back in anew. Dg is on my exceptions list to always allow. Weirdness ensues...
Using Firefox and XP here and have had no problems.
I am having no problems with it either. I use Internet Explorer and XP.
Today I didn't have to login - no changes prior to it. Go figure!
The puter at the house has made me log in for the last two weeks ie 5.5 or 6 not sure would have to look win 98 it also will not hold the temperary settings for yahoo groups this all started at the same time thinking it had to be some type of update
Ahhhh, you know, there were some critical windows updates last week. I didn't think they would change FF8 settings, but maybe they did.
I check my cookies every day. 4 or 5 (Ican't remember) are Daves. I leave those because I know they make it easy for me to be HERE. It only takes a minute to see how many sites stuck you with a cookie and eventually junk e-mail. Frank
Cookies do not generate junkmail - your e-mail address is not transmitted when you visit a website. You can set IE or just about any browser to reject all cookies except those from sites you designate. That might be an easier route for you if you don't want to have to keep checking.
This happens to me, but only when I go to pdb. I have both DG and pdb on my allowed cookie list.
