Long forum page links?

Colorado Springs, CO(Zone 6a)

I'm not sure I can figure out how to explain this, but I'll try with example :)

When I'm perusing a forum, for example the brug forum, and I get to the 21st page and beyond, is there anyway to link the following pages-- say if I want to jump to the 44th page?

As far as I can tell, I have to push the next button to go to each page of threads prior to the most recent 20 pages? (This is only an issue because I just like to read everything, not just search a topic or person) Maybe theres a better way, if not then here's another suggestion ;) Thank Dave or Terry.

There *is* a "sneaky" way to skip back. When you want to go back a looong ways, look up in your browser window, and you'll see a search string ended by a number.

I used page 20 from the PDB forum for example and I modified the URL so we can read it- see the "380" at the end?: http:davesgarden.com/f/pdb/380

If you wanted to go to the next page, you could change the number to 400. Or you can skip ahead several pages by entering whatever number you want. For example, typing in 1500, will zoom you to the first week of April, 2004: http://davesgarden.com/f/pdb/1500

Typing in 15000 will take you back to last September:
http://davesgarden.com/f/pdb/15000

and 30000 will take you back to September 2002: http://davesgarden.com/f/pdb/30000

Threads on Farm Life are way too large a print. It makes reading one really hard this morning. I don't find it on this forum too. What can I do to get the print down to normal size?

Leaflady - looks like it's your line of ssss that may be the problem. Shorten the line and it should go back to normal size! Don't feel dumb, I did it once too and I've seen quite a few others do it too! The preview just doesn't come up the same as the actual posted view. :)

Thread length is determined solely by the number of posts, and the verboseness (? verbosity????) of the writers. The longer the posts, and the more posts there are, the longer the thread is. Unless Dave wants to put a "maximum character" limit on each post, and a "maximum post" limit on each thread, long posts and long threads will happen.

If there is something in particular you want to print you, you can highlight and print only that selection. Otherwise, I'd recommend sticking to just reading the electronic version ;o)

Not sure but I think she meant the posting was too long - had to move the bottom slider thingy (aren't I technical?) back and forth to read the post. :)

Yep, it was a problem with too many ssssss's in one of leaflady's posts. I edited it, and the thread became readable once again ;o)
