Just found this popped up in my tiny shade garden. I think I planted this 2 yrs ago. Got it from one of our co-ops! It's a Shooting Star.

It isn't spring here, so aM I allowed to throw in an Autumn bulb? Here are my Autumn crocuses - Colchicum speciosum, which didn't appear last year, but have come back stronger than ever.

I'm enjoying your beautiful photos and see a few things I must have! Here are a few of mine, no names on these, they were here when we bought the property. Some may be crosses with others, and there seem to be more new ones every year, not only new plants but colors and combinations I don't remember.

I love this color!

Dark eyes and light eyes. The ones with the light eyes open to be quite flat just before they start loosing petals.

A few more of this one would suit me just fine.

The lighter edge really sets this one off nicely.

This is one of my favorites. Sorry my beds were so weedy when these photos were taken, I have done a lot of cleaning and mulching with chipped up tree trimmings this spring so I hope next year the pictures will look better.

rylaff - what is the name of the glads in your pic? Mine are up here in Z5b/6 but still about 3-4 weeks away from blooms.

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

I dont know the name of them. Wish I did. I picked them out of a bin at a nursery.

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

LOL!! That's definitely me and glads too! I always get the "mix" at Home Depot, Lowes or the locally owned garden center. That's a beautiful color combination whatever it is!!

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

alliums... in a smaller size, we'll see if it works...

edited to add: my DS reduced the pic to 30% of original per Terry's idea and it posted. :)

Elkhart, IA(Zone 5a)

Rain, Rain, Rain! Unbelievable! Yesterday morning a group of us ladies (lilyfan, Iowarons wife Peggy, Teresa and I ) went on a ladies day out (Ron couldn't go, but we did get to have a quick tour of their flower beds before getting on the road, FANTASTIC!!!!) trip to the Rainbow Iris Farm here in Iowa...We had a great time and the Iris were just georgeous! Kelly (the 16 year old owner) gave us a tour and was a wealth of information...He is such of a fantastic speaker and so knowledgeable for his young age. Great food, great friends and great Iris! If you havent had the chance to go there yet...put it on the must do list and leave your money at home! Only kidding! You won't be able to leave without buying some Iris...Its would be impossible! On the way home we were delighted to get a tour of Lilyfans garden!...All I can say is WOW! I'M TOTALY ENVIOUS! I'll post some pictures later! Bev
