Lets start a new thread, the other one was getting very long.
spring bulbs pictures
Ooooooh - so pretty :)
With the muscari and bluebells they are really lovely. I love the bluish green foliage on these :)
tired looking? uh uh! thats beautiful! I love the combination!
Is this Tete a Tete, White Emperor and I can not determine the pink.
Definitely not tired.... just room for more... LOL
Beautiful & It woke me up at the wee hours...
Boy, my anemone hasn't bloomed yet. Just planted them last fall so I'm anxious to see what they look like.....
Oh kooger! you wont be disappointed! Let us know when yours bloom and post a picture for us!
This is my first visit to the bulb forum...and BOY am I happy I found it! You ALL have such beautiful flowers . I just started working w/ bulbs last fall and here are a few pics taken this morning.
Is there something I need to do with the soil/bulbs after the flowers die off? I really like the way these tulips look and hope I can preserve them for next year.
my aneomes only got one bloom per plant. is it because they are very new? those were gorgeous!
Hi Renee! When my blooms on tulips - not other bulbs are about gone, I cut the blooms off so the energy left will go back to the bulb. I fertilize them while they are in bloom.
Whatever you do - don't cut or tie off the foliage. They need this for next year's production.
anahi - your anemones are spectacular! Writing this down for my wish list this fall :)
Thanks for answering my question, Dea.... AND BTW....That garden (pic) of yours doesn't look one bit tired. Its lovely. Now it looks like I will have to find a good source for a few Allium bubls this fall, too. LOL And if I can find a source for those Lady Jane tulips that Anahi posted...I'll be set. Those are some pretty little things-aren't they?
*** Another question. Would the Fritillaria bulbs benefit from bulb food also? Is there any particular bulb fertilizer that you prefer...? Or would the stuff I saw at WalMart be OK?
Thanks again....... Renee
mystic, do you know the name of the burgandy tulips? thats the color and height that I'm looking for.
Renee-o, I got the lady jane tulips from Brent and Beckys bulbs. They are a real treat!
Anahi, they are Triumph Tulips 'Negrita'. They are purple, but sure don't look like it in that picture. They have really held up well with all the rain we had last week.
Thats exactly what I'm looking for, tulips that can stand up to the rain. Thanks for the info!
Love that Apple Blossom!
Anahi- I'm Glad you saw that part of my post about the Lady Janes. OOOHHH THEY look so pretty. I'm off to B & B's to see if I can reserve some for this fall.
cic77......sorry it took me so long to answer your question, been having ISP problems. Yes, that was a photo of Hot Cocoa. I have three of them and love them. The only thing is they are very prone to black spot so I spray once a week, other than that, no problems. Here is another photo I took tonight.
thank you one and all. such beautiful photography of gorgeous flowers. a great way to start my day

Okay that does it! I've GOT to order more of the anemone blandas! Those are gorgeous!
life is so full of surprises. my littlest girlfriend emily(2 2/3 yrs young) and her mom lauri, brought me 3 tulips the other day. my heart melted when that little girl handed me those 3 flowers from her little hand, with a big smile on her face. ahhhhhhh one of the tulips was the monsela, celia shared the photo above. thanks celia. isn't she beautiful?
