Company Rep's Also DG Members???

Lakemont, GA(Zone 8a)

Dave and all DG'ers,
I just got an email from "jungseed" who said that they were that co's rep. here at DG. I did not know that such folks existed here. I went to their "member" page but got no info at all.
This just seems a little odd to me.
This email was in response to a complaint I made on DG about my recent order with them.
Any other DG'ers ever been contacted like this???

P.S.
Dave, when I signed up to join DG did I miss this info. stating that co. reps were here on DG????
Thanks all!!!

berrygirl, every company we list is encouraged to designate someone as their company representative. This person usually does not subscribe to our forums, but they have the same limited benefits as other non-subscribed members, including the ability to email other members through DG's system.

Many companies are seeing the value in designating a rep who can follow up on customer complaints posted to the Watchdog. An email inquiry from the representative is usually the first attempt at contact for most of them (unless it's a VERY small operation and they recall your order based on your comment's details.)

When you post a rating and comment to the Watchdog, we advise that your comment and rating will be made known to the company as well as other readers, and that you may be contacted by the company.

We also advise companies that any contact they make is a reflection on their operation, and attempts to harass a customer into changing or retracting their comment will not be tolerated. (It's a definite challenge to keep the scales of fairness in balance ;o)

Terry,
Thanks for the quick reply. I must have overlooked that info when I post on the GWD. I am kinda prone to do that, though.
I will go back and re-read the policies to make sure I know everything.
Thanks again!!!
