Garden Club

Oviedo, FL(Zone 9b)

Does anyone here belong to their local garden club? I joined mine last year and it has been fun. Let me know.

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

I belonged to mine for awhile, and got too busy. I've been thinking about joining it again. It is fun to share with other locals.

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

Wish I could but they meet when I am working and hold most events on the week ends. Since I work Wed-Sunday it makes it impossible to participate in much.

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

I belong to two garden clubs. Love going to meetings and helping where I can. DH loves the Water Garden society meetings and all our friends there.

Hughesville, MO(Zone 5a)

I use to belong to a local one, but I got so tired of the business meeting part and the lack of socialization that I quit. We could only talk about trading seeds or plants at certain times of the year, had to put on annual flower shows in which federation rules had to be followed, etc. Every month was a theme and we were suppose to bring something floral in that theme and let a couple or three so called expert members pick them apart and tell us what was wrong with them, etc. Now I just meet with friends of like interests and go to Powell Gardens.

Fountain, FL(Zone 8a)

The last time I visited my DD in Kansas we went to Powell Gardens for the day. I LOVED it!! It was the year that they had all the wooden bugs on display. Boy did I go through some film! :-)))

Hughesville, MO(Zone 5a)

Ginger, I'm so glad you got to visit PG. It is such a wonderful place to do volunteer work. It has been like a free college education with all the lab materials furnished free and there is no failing grade.
