Some Forums too Wide

Tremont, IL(Zone 5b)

In the Computer Talk, Brug, & Co op forums the list of posts spread all the way across the screen & pushes the boxes that are on the right along with the DG's Logo off the right hand side of the page.
does anyone else have this problem? I find it annoying. Some of the other forums go off a little bit on the right hand side, but don't have to scroll to the right to see them.

Yes, I noticed that also, don't understand why either.

I'm guessing it has to do with the way the page is formatted (cell padding, maybe?) At any rate, it's a problem that Dave will need to look at and fix.

I don't know - it looks just fine to me. Are you talking about a specific thread, or the forum itself?

The forums seem (seemed?) very wide. I initially thought it might be a post-within-a-thread issue, but I don't think so.

Is it still happening? Can you give me a direct link to the page at which I can see the error?

It's almost like the subject lines don't wrap & spred all the way across the screen, pushing the boxes on the right side off the right side of the screen, so that you have to use the slider at the bottom to get to those.

Here is one of the pages. My screen is only 14" or 15" (13" wide), where if your's is wider, you probably don't have the problem. http://davesgarden.com/f/computer/

I was into one thread that was not very wide at all...I thought that was strange. Jo

Been happening here too. Some pages in the PDB are even worse. See http://plantsdatabase.com/showpicture/30023/

Groaners........and One Liners....

This thread is too wide. I went down the whole thread and perhaps Wintermoor's post last Oct. 21 is the cause as it has a long underline but I've read this thread regularly and just noticed it recently that it was too wide.

I get that on my computer at work. It has a smaller screen. At home, I've never had that problem.

Dave, it's doing this to me also. Here's a link:

That really is bad Big_Red. I would never be able to read posts that looked like that. It was fine when she first put it up so................I wonder if it was that link Kell put on one of the posts. That thing was huge.

That was a problem with a post within the thread. An extremely long URL wasn't formatted properly, so instead of becoming a "hyperlink@xxxx.xxx" it displayed the entire string, which was quite long. I've fixed the URL, and the thread is normal sized now. ;o)

Much better, thanks Terry!!!
