help with sidewalk cracks

Cuyahoga Falls, OH(Zone 5a)

Is there a home-made solution that will kill the grass and weeds in sidewalk cracks ? (besides crawling on my hands and knees and digging them up.....)

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

boiling water

Denver, CO(Zone 6a)

We use a half vinegar and half water mix. It really does a good job of killing any plant it touches. For really difficult weeds you may need more than one application.
So far it has worked as well as Roundup.

That's it ? Thanks ! That sure is cheaper and less toxic than veg killer !

Mix vinegar with a few drops of lemon liquid dish soap, put in spray bottle and spray the weeds during the heat of the day.

Salt works good too. Either make a salt/water solution or put the salt directly on the weeds and wet it down a bit.

Thank you for additional solutions. If it EVER WARMS UP here in Ohio, I will try them all and see which one works best in my yard. I had no idea there were such simple, inexpensive ways to kill vegetation. What a nice surprise !
