Ponditis has dislocated wrist

Tallahassee, FL(Zone 8b)

Your garden sounds lovely! I wish I could visit it. Once upon a time we could have swung by out of Spokane.

With your highly motivated munching sheep, the bamboo should be no problem. The frozen ground part of the year should also slow it down. But I'd keep my eye on it, just in case!!!!!

I started out with a number of different types of daylilies. Now, they've cross-pollinated for so long, I have no idea what I have. But they're still pretty when they bloom. In one separate area, I planted deep garnet and golden yellow ones (school colors, don't you know! Well, football's really big in this town! Plus, I should own several of those buildings with all the tuition I've paid them over the years!). One year I noticed the flowers were all red with gold throats!

Now somewhere in the back of my addled brain I knew this would happen. Just didn't boil to the top of my brain at the time I planted them. Dumb!!!!!!!!! Oh, well, now I have garnet and gold all in each flower! Still pretty!

Sounds pretty too. Daylilies are my sons favorite flower because he likes to taste them and put good ones in our salads. Ever since we found out that they are tasty he loves them. When I show him a picture of one I want to buy all he ever asks anymore is if it is tasty. LOL

When more time would like to hunt down the scented ones - they ought to be tasty too...

Mmmm might go well with the BBQd boar yu're both coming to sample *g*
You're garden sounds great.
How about you Judith? What's in yours?

Hope the wrist's improving Lani. This thread's going the way to take your mind off it anyway - until I said that ;)

Will be "off air" from saturday as the puter's got to be packed for a very early monday getaway. We'll have to get a phone connection in France ASAP!! Will be back on DG as soon as poss :)

Hilary, I will be awaiting your return and missing you plenty while you are gone. I can hardly wait till you get settled and start sending pictures of that area of the world. Good luck on your move!

This wrist still is bothering me sometimes so I really don't forget about it. The splint pinches me from time to time too. whine whine whine that seems to be all I do lately here and I am sure tired of it. I am certain my DH and DS are too. But they sure keep on taking good care of what I can't do.

Today we will go into town and mow Mom's yard which is a job we are hoping soon will not have to be done. We are hoping to sell her home but I still have to clean all the things out of it and can't one handed AND bad backed. One or the other isn't as bad but I sure don't want to tackle it with the two problems. lol Right now my DH is out weeding around our trees and mowing the front yard. The back yard will have to wait for our son to get the rider fixed again. Poor old little rider is tired and slipped its belt off to avoid working so hard this spring. Today will be the day it is back to work or else. lol

Judith, how could I forget my beautiful clematis that are budding out now? Our apricot tree was loaded with blooms this year and now has tons of baby apricots on it. Too many apricots for it to handle so soon my DH will have to climb up there and thin them. The next couple of days the crab apple will be blooming and it has beautiful very double pink blooms of a gorgeous shade. I wish I knew what variety it is so I could go get some more for out back. Guess I will have to settle for flowering dogwood. :) love those too!

Gotta get back outside and at least plant some more hostas that have been in bags too long. Bye for now. Hugs to both of you.

Lani, you sound really busy!

You'll hopefully pardon me for being lousy at conversation right now--pain pills.

It's been a really busy week workwise, and I've been trying to do some indoor gardening (seed planting), to be moved outdoors, when sun and temp are right. And, although I'm stopping to rest frequently, my back is killing me.

Thank you, God, for supplying me with pain pills when needed. I can't just sit here and twiddle my thumbs!!!!

Whine, whine, whine, complain, gripe, moan!!!!!!!!

Hey, we're entitled to some of that aren't we??????

I hope your wrist is continuing to get better, and I pray for your release from pain.

Love & Hugs!!

And I pray for your release from pain too, dear friend. Hey we have earned the right to whine. After all we are gardeners and not couch potatoes. Well, maybe I AM a recliner potato but never a couch spud. Our couch is too uncomfortable to lie down on.

I know all about pain pills and conversation. Sometimes they make me better to converse with. Well, may not better, maybe just sillier. Then some of them that are prescribed make me just super sleepy. Gotta love those when you can't sleep but they leave me sleepy the next day too. sigh

Anyway take care and hugs for you along with a cyber gentle back rub.

Thanks Lani, for your hugs and back rub!

I think I feel a little better now. I had a nice long nap as a recliner potato. I guess I'll be awake for a while now. Haven't tried up yet That's a whole other matter!!! But, um, I've gotta, you know, "go," so I guess I'll soon find out. When it hurts to stand up, it's amazing just how long you can wait to "go!!!" LOL

Hugs back! Haven't heard from Mollie today. She sounded really down yesterday. But I kind of hate to disturb her.

Do you think clematis would survive our heat down here? Their really pretty, but I've not tried one yet. Maybe I'l try one. What color(s) do you have? How much sun do they need/stand?

Your flowering trees sound beautiful. We have a few dogwoods that have already bloomed this year. I've had a redbud tree (small) that has never bloomed. I haven't seen many here, but a few. We had them in GA. DH would love your apricots!

BTW, I've been meaning to ask you, do you have any hostas??????????????

Say nite, nite to them for me.
