When does Lily of the Valley start to sprout?

I live in Zone 6 Southwestern PA and was wondering when i should start to see Lilli of the valley sprout... Anyone know?

Do you have it planted in full sun? Mine is in shade and hasn't sprouted yet either. It'll probably be another week or two with the lousy cool spring we're having.

It's actually not in full sun. Maybe I should move it? I only planted last fall from a trade.

Yeah, this weather is getting old. I need spring already!! LOL

Mine that are planted on the eastern side of the house in a fairly shady spot are just now coming up. The flat of pips I planted last fall and overwintered in the greenhouse were up a couple weeks ago (just sunnier and warmer in there.)

When i ived in ny, my lily of the valley didn;t sprout till june...they were in shade.....they did beautiful.....i miss the aroma of those blooms.....hoping to be able to have them here in florida.....

they are such a cute plant.....
