incorporate photos to threads - how to?

Dave, (and the others),

I want to upload a photo to a thread from time to time - I remember some time ago there was a button for this, now I don't know how to do it. Any help would be appreciated.

There are several ways to post a picture to Dave's Garden, but the
most common way is to use the Photos or Identification Forums.

Make sure you are logged in.

Go to the Photos Forum, at:

http://davesgarden.com/forums/photos.html

Scroll to the bottom, and you'll find the area where you start
a new thread.

Type in the subject, and then the body of the message.

Then, below the body of the message, you'll see a "Browse" button.

Click that, and a File Open dialog box will open. Navigate your
hard drive until you find the image you want to upload.

Note: The image must be in JPG form!

Select the image to upload, and click Okay.

Then, back on the thread page, click "Preview".

If all goes well, you'll see a preview of your post, with a thumbnail
(smaller sized version of the original image) inside the post.

If that looks good, just click "Submit" and you're done!

If it doesn't look good, hit the back arrow and try again.

Thanks for that, I was wondering how to. However, it only seems to work for a new thread. Suppose I want to respond to an existing thread and incorporate a picture into my reply. For example, I was looking at the Identification thread today, and having seen the picture posted by the originator, wanted to respond with a picture of my own. Can do ??

Re my recent mail to you on difficulty of access, Maggie in Ireland has copied me your latest view and the problems you have had with the Chatroom and the fire-wall precautions that you have had to set up. I dont think I am associated with any of the those listed as fire-walled, but presumably that check may have an affect on any CO.UK access ?

eltel, There is only one photo per thread but you can add a photo thread with your picture and put a hyperlink to it on the original thread so it can be clicked on to show your picture. It really works quite well and is very easy to do.
