Will it ever stop raining???

Colorado Springs, CO(Zone 6a)

It has been raining here for 2 straight weeks and is forecasted to last through this weekend!

I've heard of April Showers, but cmon, this is the PLAINS of west texas!!

Is anyone else having a perpetual downpour?

Washington, PA(Zone 6b)

We did last week, it just rained and rained. Now it's cold. We got artic air from somewhere I think. C'mon GOD, I got stuff to plant already, LOL.

Try to be thankful for the rain - Yes it's dreary, but think of the great drinks all of your plants are receiving.

We're a little dry here, and quite frankly, I'm looking forward to the rain tonight and tomorrow. My plants will all get a drink, and maybe some of the gladiolus I have planted will peek out of the ground with this fresh-water drink.

Yes, we are also praying for rain. Couple weeks of rain may get us back to normal. Fire danger is very high here. This is not a comman thing. Might get a quick shower today.

Florida is under a fire watch now. We have fires to the south and north of us. Friends in Miami had to evacuate, along with 500 other homes there. The most we've had here is just smoky mornings as it drifts in over night before the ocean breezes push it back after sunrise. Everybody is being VERY careful!

You know that you can always send your excess rain this way. This is shaping up to be a drought year. I can't remember the last time it rained. I think it was early March or late February and the "rainy" season is just about over, when we won't get rain again until November.

I'm sorry to hear that all you guys are in need of rain. Believe me if I could send it your way, I would. Hope you guys get your rain soon...

Surry, VA(Zone 7b)

Last year it rained so much that we received an excess of 18", and this year we are already 6" behind of what we should have already received. The year before last we had planted corn in our garden and it didn't do well because of the drought, last year we didn't and it would have been a great year for it, and this year I have corn to plant and we are not receiving enough rain so far. Maybe I should stop planning on planting corn??? LOL :o)

I'm sorry ya'll are having such dry weather- I didn't realize there was droughts happening yet this year.
If I could I would bottle it up and send it to you!

I am very thankful my plants are finally getting a good soaking, its just that Lubbock was not built with intelligence and we have no drainage. Two hours of rain, and cars are being flooded out.

It is good for the insomniac in me too :) The thunder puts me right to sleep.

I'll go yell at the clouds to turn west!

Definitely had enough rain here, too! Check out this picture of my veggie garden, which has had a running creek flowing right through it for the past week!! We've most certainly had enough to last us for several months. :)

Drought again here. If we get any more fires, there won't be much left of our National Forests in this area. We are 4" shy of our annual rainfall which is a mere 7".

Iowa Park, TX(Zone 8a)

Ok now I am truly envious! art_n_garden you & dave live way to close to me for you guys to be getting all that rain and us only getting some here and there. SEND IT MY WAY! Do a rain go away dance or some thing :~)

Well, looks like our dry season is starting to end here. My storm warning radio went off about 5 AM and your storm in Texas is now coming into Tampa then across the state to us. We really need it...but not all at once!
