I leave on Wednesday morning - and will spend a day in London and onward to Dublin. I'll be away for a few more days off to Northern Ireland for holiday before I start work.
I am leaving my home, dogs, plants and everything in care of my better-natured half, Doug, who had decided to stay in NY (at least until his daughter goes to college this Fall).
So, he might log in as me a few times and introduce himself - with questions. So, as simple as the question might be, please welcome him, advise him and share your friendship and knowledge with him, as you all have with me.
I have left him with 2 co-ops and dozens of seed packets.
If he does end up using the site, I'll be delighted to give him a membership, but I want to see if he enjoys it as much as I do.
Love,
Sandra
Off to Ireland - and a request to welcome my BNH

You have a wonderful trip and dont forget your camera and then dont forget to label the pics so you will always remember when you first got there.
Sandra,
Do take some time and smell the roses in some of the English gardens like Sissinghurst, Kensington, etc. Wonderful in Spring.
Bert - great idea! I'll bookmark this thread to remember...

What a chance of a lifetime - enjoy!! Life is short!! Maybe you will find some wonderful seeds over there! Doug will be right at home here..
We will welcome him with open arms and pamper him to no end! Gee, I am really getting excited about this trip, too. So glad there's a little corner of your suitcase where there's room to take all of us along with you, LOL!
Have a safe trip Sandy. Keep in touch...
Waaaaahhh....she's gone!??
Oh well...Ms Sbarr, if you meet anyone named O'horseshoe in Ireland tell 'em their USA relative says howdy.
(Hoping you can post from over there.)
*chortle-snort* -- Here I am in the office, first day and suppressing a huge grin at the thought of O'horseshoe... Gave that up - now I'm sitting here with a huge grin and shaking my head.
made it in one piece - spent a few days up in Northern Ireland. Beautiful countryside, but I made the mistake of not having my camera charged up. :( Oh well...
All the best to everyone....more later.
Whewww....Glad you made it over there all in one piece!
Hope you 'member to take your batteries next time for your camera...I really want some pics of my ancestors. (Maybe I can send a pic of me, you can show it around, asking "have you ever seen this man?". That way, if there really is an O'Horseshoe I'm sure we'd be nearly twins and he could be easily spotted!)
Hope you are having fun. Keep us posted!
HEY! You got there ok...great. If you should find an O'Horseshoe....ssshhhh...don't tell anyone...I don't think the world is ready for another one!! LOL Jo

So happy to hear you have arrived safely in the "Land of the Leprechauns", LOL! You're no doubt very busy settling in and taking stock of the situation at work, so I will wish you best of luck and wait patiently for your posts!
Helen
Pleased to hear you're settling in
Look forward to seeing you in France :)
(I go 26th)
All the best....
philomel - you're going to the south of France, right? I have a new work colleague from Paris who is here on assignment and she has gone on and on about how lovely France is - I've even started picking up how she pronounces the country with "Frawns".
If you can tell me where you are - I'm sure Corinne will know of the area..... I most definitely will be down to visit. :)
