Freezing Temps Tonight !!!!

Lakemont, GA(Zone 8a)

We are having some strange Spring weather. Sat. night we got some much-needed rain and a thunderstorm. Been very warm lately . Tonight it is going to FREEZE!!!!! Hope my seeds and plants don't freeze!!!! Guess I was a bit too early! Good thing my DH didn't listen to me about planting the veggie garden- LOL!!

31 here tonight, 25 tomorrow night, and then 33 Tuesday night.... I am so NOT happy. Back up to 40's for overnight lows after that.

Saucier, MS(Zone 8b)

Here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast we have a frost warning for tonight (39-35). Saturday our day temp. was 85 & our night temps. have been in the mid 50's. Glad I did not pull everything out of the greenhouse, sure wanted too.

I got Vic's temps here too...oh well, at least the wood stove is fired up and it's warm as toast in the shoffice. (I also have my friends cast iron pots/pans in there burning the rust off so I can re-season them for him. He's gonna luv 'em when I'm done!)

My peas are popping out of the ground (finally) but they'll be okay with this weather. Only other things I have in the garden are cold weather crops (broc, cabbage, fava beans, onions) so I'm assuming they will be thumbing their noses at this cold snap.

Hey folks, never fear....we're on the down hill of Winter now...Hellooo, Spring!

Panama, NY(Zone 5a)

It snowed all day here yesterday and the temp on the front porch is 10 F right now. We're on a hill, so that will be the "high" temperature for the area. It's down in the very single digits in the valleys. They are talking near 60 by the weekend, though, so I'm going to plant some seeds today just on the outside chance that it does really turn out to be spring after all!

Glad I didn't transplant my Hyacinth beans along the fence yet - I was sooo tempted only 2 days ago, they are about 4" high now and ready to go in the ground, but I was too busy pulling things out of the gh. Last night about 11:00, I was outside putting them back in! I thought I had today to do that, but it came a night earlier than predicted. Great exercise to "do-over "work!
