Is it just my connection? Everything takes forever to load.

It is going in spurts for me. Right now....slow.

Thought it was our connection also.

zippin' along now with the normal super speed :)

Archer/Bronson, FL(Zone 8b)

I found it was slow during some times today. Sometimes it was so slow it forgot what it was looking for, i.e. "server not found, hit refresh"

Going good now tho, I'm on dsl so it is rarely my server.

We had a real heavy period during the time that you posted this thread. One of the search engines was doing a heavy indexing (It was Teoma, which I think is "Ask Jeeves" but I'm not sure).

Check out the graph to see the spike of traffic we had yesterday, starting around 3:30pm (CST) and ending about 5:00pm CST.

Gosh, cool graph. I just had trouble getting into this forum. Was whizzing right along and on my last thread on the brug forum and coming over here....it slowed again. I wonder how many different search engines there are? Thanks Dave, for explaining.

Yes, definitely worked better last night than in the afternoon. That graph is really neat. Interesting!!

Well, I'm glad Teoma finally indexed us - it's touted as a potential contender to Google, and if so, it'd be nice to be in their search results.

The graph is a handmade (or course) program that I wrote to keep track of the system performance. It makes graphs for load, memory utilization, hard drive reads/writes and bandwidth (in/out). It's pretty useful to track down exactly -when- a problem occurred, and the graph makes it visual which eases reading the data.
