When do we nominate yearly winners of pics?

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

I especially loved this photo I saw posted.

Not sure how this works, as I've only been here since November. But I really like this one.

Karrie: You joined right after the voting was over. The contests end in the fall. Start taking and saving your pictures.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

And they will be for pictures taken in 2004 :)

The last that I knew they are for any years picture as long as they weren't in contests before.

That's right, Debby. Kind of like entering a photograph in the photo-contest at the county fair.

So rather than nominating someone else's pic that you like, you enter your own favorites?

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Correct. There's a period of time for submissions (names are not attached so people vote on the picture rather than the person), then the voting begins. Once the deadline passes, the votes are tallied and the winners announced. Always a fun event ;o)

It sounds like fun! I'll have to keep my camera ready when things start blooming! :)

Are you planning on adding any new categories this year? Like Hosta, Daylily, Iris, Peony ?

Like the Subtle hint?

LOL

Wayyyy too early for me to even THINK about it, lololol...

Melissa - I think it would be nice to have more categories too! (i.e. perennials, spring bulbs, etc).
