Palmyra, IL(Zone 5b)

Can I change my user ID? To Jody or JodyC or Nature_Farmer? Thanks, Jody

Jody, I emailed you.

Thanks, JodyC

You did it, Jody! :) Might want to put something on your member page about your name change in case people think jlconno (?) has mysteriously dropped off the face of the earth.

He He,i changed mine awhile back and nobody even noticed.I thought my old name bitty1 sounded like a CB handle,so i changed it to BittysGarden.Although there is nothing wrong with CB'ers,i just wanted something garden related.

Archer/Bronson, FL(Zone 8b)

Well I certainly would have thought she disappeared, glad I followed this thread, welcome back again Jody.

Bitty, yours was close enough we recognized ya. Name changers like these are the harder ones to recognize!

Terry (formerly known as Go_Vols)
Naturegal (formerly known as Robbie)
PotEmUp (formerly known as George4tax)

I know I'm missing some...

Crossville, TN

Bitty....I noticed...I try to keep up with you as you have such good recipies. Jo

Cleveland, OH(Zone 5b)

It took me FOREVER to figure out that Go_Vols changed her name to Terry! LOL! Boy was I relieved.

Ha!Just picking on ya'll.lol.I'm in a pickable mood tonight.Just slap my hand GW and say bad girl Bitty.lol.

I've considered changing my DG name, too. So many people just assume "Darius" is a male. sigh.

When you change your name, does that change ALL the posts you have ever made? Or, just new ones?

I've been here 3 years now and would hate for people who know and trust me to be wary of a new name (as in new member) who hasn't a track record yet.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

darius, it changes the blue hyperlink name associated with all the posts you've made. However, if people have referred to you as "darius" within their typed text, it doesn't change those. (I still find references to "go_vols" here and there within threads ;o)

Elkhart, IA(Zone 5a)

Okay, I give up. How do you change your user ID? I'm interested in changing mine also.

Franklin, LA(Zone 9a)

Just like Jody did, post a message here. I think Dave allows one name change per person ....

It's a once-in-a-lifetime change (only half-joking.) Dave is the only one who can do it, and it's a manual process for him - which means it takes time he could be working on other new features and site enhancements.

We don't discourage people from asking if they have a good reason for changing, but you should think carefully before you ask for a change, and make sure your *new* name is something you're going to be really (REALLY) happy with for a long time ;o)

Thanks Dave and Terry for changing mine!

Crossville, TN

Darius....Don't change your name...PLEASE!! We know you and love you with this name!! It would be like Horseshoe changing his. or Roadrunner....LOL o

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

RoadRunner... (LOL... I've been running the roads lately!)

I'd change it to "2FootAlligator" if I do, which is the name I use for my part-time business, and also on ebay and Amazon.

It comes from my beloved dachshuind, now under the birdbath at the old house. She was small. and fearless, like a real 2 Foot Alligator!

Hi everyone, take it from me....name changes are worth it as far as I am concerned. I was previously "yardgirl" . I just did that quick when I found DG so I could get in. Once I found out how much I love this site and saw some of the other usernames I was soo unhappy with my name I thought it was dull, boring, and not me at all. I looked through all the other usernames to see if the ones I thought up were already being used. It took me about a month untill I finally found my new gardening "self" LOL. This is definitely ME !

Dave was very nice about changing it too ! THANKS DAVE !

This was a fun thread to read. Wouldn't you love to know the meaning or reason behind some user names? Some just make me chuckle!!

Mine is my maiden name and I use it a lot, on ebay too. With a last name like 'Feucht' which almost sounds like a dirty word the way some people pronounce it, kooger is simple. Easy for the chat room too!! (not that I knew that when I picked it) :)

Crossville, TN

There was an old thread around that we told why we picked our user name...someone will come along that knows how and find it for us. LOL Jo

Loysville, PA(Zone 6a)

Yes this is fun ! One of the ones that I have always liked is Indashade's. When I was choosing my new one I almost went with Onda_Porch ! Ha ! ;)

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

LOL, Willit...!

Loysville, PA(Zone 6a)

darius, on the serious side...if you are unhappy with your username I really do encourage you to find one you feel better with. I do think it would be wise to post it on the welcome forum and/or your home page as was mentioned above or email the subscribers that you want to make sure that they know ya.

GO FOR IT !

Loysville, PA(Zone 6a)

I hope someone digs up that old thread about how/why ya choose your username ... Oh Please find it someone !!

Franklin, LA(Zone 9a)

Just joking notmartha, I've always thought your user name is neat.
