Has anyone else noticed the "skip to new" on a thread putting you past the last thread you read? I didn't realize it was happening Howie mentioned it on some the threads he's revisited tonight. I just noticed it myself when visiting the thread http://davesgarden.com/t/419436/ It took me to the last post in the thread, which was several past where I'd left off reading.
"Skip to New" skipping several past last read post
Most likely "New" means newly posted. I doubt the computer would keep track of where you have been.
No, actually, it does keep track of where you've been. Skip to New takes you to the thread following the last one that was there when you last opened the thread. It makes it so nice on long threads. Awesome little feature Dave put on the site back a while ago.
I love the 'skip to new'. It's spoiled me rotten for all other forums.
I haven't noticed mine misbehaving ...
