Lisa, that is way too hot for this time of year. It would make me worry about the hurricane season being very very bad.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

No, that's more like a hair short of 105 farenheit!

Mount Hermon, LA(Zone 8b)

It kills me when seed companies delay shipment of plants until (what they think is) the "proper planting time." What they don't seem to realize is that here, in Louisiana, it is time NOW :))

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

I know what you mean! In some zones, waiting too long means it's going to be REALLY hot and the plants will not only suffer in transit, but once they're in the ground. When I worked at J&P, we could override the system and ship plants outside the "recommended time" (as long as they were shipping *somewhere* at that point, that is), but customers had to be willing to waive the guarantee. We were flexible with people who called and obviously knew what they were doing, yet had problems, however.

Archer/Bronson, FL(Zone 8b)

I had Gurney's ship my seeds out end of January so I could get my snap peas in before it got too hot. Their policy was to not ship in the south til March.

Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

Oh my goodness Lisa, that is just WAAAAYYYY too hot, anytime! Today is supposed to get into the 50's, all week in fact, that is hot enough for me for now. Want some snow? We still have mountains of it. I think it might be going away fast.

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

got my bathing suit ready....whew

Franklin, LA(Zone 9a)

I'm maybe an hour west of Lisa. I'm still waiting for summer bulbs that I ordered from Van Dycks ... By the time they ship 'em, it'll be too late to plant! Grrrr .....

Ah, the problems that come with living in the warm, sunny south ... ;-)

Stoneham, MA(Zone 6a)

My mind cannot comprehend that temp - maybe if I close my eyes and set in front of the heater! lol It's been snowing here all day long but not much accumulation - I can still be the tops of the tulips trying to peep out - it did get all the way up to 33F!

Willacoochee, GA(Zone 8b)

nice...
been in the 80's here recently, just got a little cold snap for the next few days.

I hear you about seed/plant companies, but it is kinda tricky shipping nation-wide.
April in Georgia can be REALLY hot, of course in Wisconsin it is still freezing.

of course I have about 20 pending orders from people WAY up north that are about a month old.... and they always order the most tender tropicals :-)
course, can't say that I blame them, I hated February when I lived up north.

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

Thank goodness we only get about 7 to 10 days out of the year that hot around here. (and it's dry here too, not humid).
