Lunch in the Dallas Area??

Lutz, FL(Zone 9b)

I'm going to be in the Dallas area (Highland Village) March 15-19. Anyone want to get together for lunch or whatever??

Stacey, if I didn't live 100 miles from Dallas, I would like to meet you. My daughter used to work for a florist in Highland Village.

Oh Bill, I wish Lindale was closer. My sister works 2-6p every weekday so that's when I'll be at loose ends...sort of...I'll be out taking a lot of pictures! :)

Stacey,

I'm going to be headed through Dallas around that time. :) We're headed from OKC to Houston. I think we're leaving here around Wed morning, so we'd be in Dallas around lunch time. Alas, I'd have no idea where to meet, though.

Stacey here's a site of a cabin that the founder of Dallas lived in. One of my relatives, John Neely Bryan. If you go near it check it out. It might have some spiders in it. Enjoy your trip.

Georgiaredclay, No spiders in that cabin. It's hallowed ground to old time Dallasites. You should move to Dallas, any relative of John Neely Bryan would be the toast of the town.

Carla!! If you're on I-35 you'll be driving right past me. I'm sure my sister knows plenty of spots for lunch near Denton...what fun that would be! I'll send you an e-mail...

Jim, How neat...I'll make a point of seeing the cabin. You sure are historically connected aren't you?? LOL Hugs to you and Miss Bobbie. Maybe, just maybe, we 'll see y'all in FloraAla...

;-) Better to be the toast of the town than the talk of it!

Stacey,

Denton is perfect. I talked to my FIL and he said it would be fine as long as it's right off the highway (I-35E?)

Well here it is a month later...
Carla it was such a pleasure to see you again and to meet your girls and in laws. We had time for all of 2 quick hugs and a fast lunch but hey! we were together! I'm looking forward to spending more time with you and the girls in Kentucky this fall
On my trip, out and back, I saw so many exits that led to Dave's Gardeners! Lindale was 123 miles from exit to exit. I passed so many people including Rylaff in Niceville, Donna in Ocean Springs and Lisa!! so many exits went your way...How I wished I had more time to turn off and visit all of you!
Someday...

Jerri,

I didn't realize you were that close. I could easily come for a visit. That's only 2+ hours from here.

Lindale, TX(Zone 8a)

Stacey, at the Lindale exit from Interstate 20, you were only five miles from me. I wish I had known, I could have bought you a burger at McDonalds at the exit, or something. LOL. Really, when you do it again email me. Bill

:) I will certainly be in touch with lots of Texans next time I'm out there. Eyes I'm so sorry we didn't get to meet...
Bill, so close!! I'll take you up on that burger next time!
