Does Anyone Want A teenager???

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

She's a Blonde actress, funny & a Math Whiz--just 17 years old. She's upstairs rearranging her room for the umpteenth time. The noise is incredible. I think she's assembling the hammock up there...

And she adds wierd stuff to my shopping lists like"a Chippendale Dancer" , "Sistine Chapel for my room" and 2 Squirrels.

Does anyone want her for postage???

markleysburg, PA(Zone 5a)

Raised 10 of them and had 6 in high schoolat one time-sorry I enjoy the quiet and peace of their adulthood but then there is the grandkinds and greeatgrandkids but they do go home. Love her while you can-they fly the nest all too soon Shirley

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

I'll trade you for a lazy self serving 14 year old! Maybe YOU can whip her into shape, lol!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

TEN, Shirley? And she lived to tell about it. That oughta hearten you two, Wanda & Karrie!

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

Hah...I was right there with her and under the "Chippendale Dancer" , "Sistine Chapel for my room"...but what does she have in mind with the 2 Squirrels? (She allowed to cook in her room?)

ROTFLOL at all of you! I really wish you would all stop scaring me like this. I still have a long road to travel with my six girls. I should be FREE in oh, 25 years or so. LOL We are just creeping in to the fun part. ;)

Frederick, MD(Zone 6a)

Raising my hand here - we'll take 'em both !!

I miss the teenage years; course I miss all the different stages of kids. So much to learn and listen to - way, way too quiet in our home :)

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

10? 10? 10? I'd never make it!!!

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

The 2 Squirels were for another item on her list--"A tree big enough to hold a treehouse". We have nice sized trees, but not THAT big for another 20 years...

And Badseed, you won't have 6 girls, you'll have six girls and 20 boys--especially if you have a couple of Cheerleaders like mine!

Better stock up on pop, pizza, fresh cookies & videos!

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

Wanda you are going to scare her to death! lol! (Try 20 boys X 6 girls = 120 boys)

Been there and done that 3 times. And you know what they say, third time's a charm...LOL....Shirley's right, it will be over before you know it! Enjoy the moment!

Made it thru 2 boys - would love a girl, but just don't have the energy to go thru those years again - they were killers!! I still am amazed that they both turned out and didn't end up in prison!! Whew, gave me a ton of gray hairs tho...good luck..

Stockton, MO(Zone 6b)

Badseed, with 6 girls, if you play your cards right, you will have all kinds of help with heavy moving and hauling etc when the boys start hanging around! Lol Worked for me, and I only had 1 girl.

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

Hey, it used to be worse when her Sis was still at home! (Liz is 19 years & at college.) The house gets mighty quiet sometimes when the younger one's out--just me, hubby, 2 dogs 7 2 ferrets to make noise.

That's some charmers you got there Wanda! My guess is you've seen plenty of them 120 boys!!!

Me? I've got a 14 yr old young man who thinks he knows it all and a 10 yr old girl that the Dr. says is in a 13-yr old body and SHE thinks she's 16!!! Sheeesh! My biggest challenge? Trying to keep 'em safe on the internet!!! They're so naive! God bless their sweet selves.

Conroe, TX(Zone 9a)

I hope that was a type-o: "& 2 ferrets", not "72 ferrets". Although, 72 ferrets could sometimes be better than a couple of teenagers...

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

I dunno, ever smelled a ferret? then again, ever smelled a teenager???

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Wanda I know they can really get to you sometimes but they will be gone all to soon. But cherish every moment. My daughter just turned 18 in Jan and will be off to college next year. I already miss her.

Hughesville, MO(Zone 5a)

We have been thru 2 girls and 3 boys of our own, then started in again with grandchildren whose mother just wasn't ready emotionally to be a mother to her 2. Precious little children, 1 boy, 1 girl. Then them mother took just as our youngest had her 1st on and lived at home for 3 1/2 years. 7 years later that one came back for 3 1/2 years. Somewhere in there we helped another young couple raise their 2 boys to teen years and then sort of lost touch for a few years. I think Jack & I have had about 6 years tops alone since we got married. Each of us already one by previous marriages so we started out with a ready made family. It seems so quiet now but we are both just too tired to raise any more children. Short visits are all we can handle anymore.

Lewisburg, KY(Zone 6a)

My oldest is 19 and away at college. I miss her too. I have three others to keep me busy. Beta, Basketball, Sports,Orthodonist,Shopping, ect. My twins will be thirteen this year. Where does the time go? My middle daughter is the one that loves horticulture. My soul mate. Great kids, just trying at times.

southeast, NE

LOL - yes they do grow up fast. My one and only baby is 22 and is student teaching and is being referred to by "Miss". However, she still has her moments - on Sunday she dropped her cell phone in the bathroom stool.

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

ROFL .... Nebraska Jewel!!! That's an absolutely outrageous reflection of life with...errr....uhhmmm..."kids" of ANY age!

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

leaflady, you're a glutton for punishment! But a Good Soul!

My 18 year IM'd my youngest about a new boyfriend: Harley, 29 years old, 6 foot 3 and weighing at 203 pounds. I told her to send back that "Harley Riders are all 300+ pounds and over 40." A few more IM ensued concluding that daughter Liz and "Al" would be over soon. Amanda was all upset.
I knew the joke--"Al'' is a high school cheerleading friend of Liz' and a girl. LOL Lizzie loves her little jokes on her sister...

And Goodness, TWO ferrets are enough for anyone!
