82,000 and going strong !

I see right now the total of members of DG is 82,000. It still seems like yesterday when we were a small community of gardeners chatting with each other through these forums. Now we are a large happy family getting larger all the time.

Many thanks to Dave, Trish, their family and to Terry and all the others who make this site possible for everyone to enjoy.

amen Ponditis. Thank you for sharing that and remind me of why I love this place so much. We are a huge handful of nice people sharing, giving, planting, taking pictures, sharing those.

I feel very blessed being part of this very nice family.

How many are subscribers?

echos, that is a good question. You can count them if you go to members list and click on subscribed members for the names of subscribed people.

I don't see how to do that for the whole membership. I thought of that once before.

You'd just have to view subscribers by letter and tally a total when done.

i'm tallying them up as we speak.. lol
2 am and i've nothing better to do as my kid's awake and refusing to go back to sleep right now, so i cant be asleep right now either

i try sooo hard to get on a "normal" schedule .. but when i do manage to do it, it only lasts a few days at a time..

Just found this out by 'accident'. At the end of the names starting with numbers _ takes you to All the members and if you chose subsribers only it gives a total of 1875. But you needed something to do last night anyway Miss Kitty. It's fun to see where we all come from. When I subscribed I was the only one from MB, till I got a garden friend to sign up. Now I think there's two of us.

The only family I have here is all my dear friends I have made since I joined. When I joined DG though there were fewer members than there are now subscribers. In fact this month is my anniversary with DG. I have now been here three years. I love this place and hardly ever go anywhere else on the web. I might try other sites if we ever get DSL offered here in the sticks.

Miss Kitty, I am glad that the "procedure" was quick for all of you. So was my wrist surgery today so I am doing the "happy dance" tonight. I think I am going to "Happy Dance" the drugged body off to bed now. gnite
