Anyone actually born on Feb. 29 ??

Fountain, FL(Zone 8a)

I know it's a few days away, but was curious if any DGers were actually born on Feb. 29? If so, when it's not a leap year do you celebrate on Feb.28 or Mar.1 and why? Also speaking legally...getting drivers license, able to vote, buy alcohol etc. does B-day equate as the 28th of Feb. or the 1st of Mar.? Inquiring minds want to know.

I wasn't born on leapday, but I was married on it! Howie and I tied the knot February 29, 1992. In the absence of a leapday, we celebrate on February 28; we were wed in February, even if it was a freebie day.

No birthday here either, but my DH retired from the Air Force on Feb. 29, 1988. So you can say he's been retired for 16 yrs., or 4 yrs. lol

Kim, I remember on another thread that you mentioned that your anniversary was on Feb. 29th. Congrats to you both.

I found 1 subscriber born on the 29th (Svein from Norway)... Go down to the bottom of the list. http://davesgarden.com/memberlist/viewby.php?area=birthday&arg1=2&sort=a.join_date&o=&showonlysubbers=&offset=100

I also also found 4 members!

Wow...didn't know we could look up folks by their birthday! Only 5 isn't many considering the number of "family" members.

One day out of 1461 (365 + 365 + 365 + 366) is a February 29. With 81,674 members, statistically 56 should have birthdays on February 29.

My web host for gardenwife.com wrote me to say that not only is it our anniversary, but it's also the only year until something like 2032 that there are five Sundays in February. There ya go, special all around. :)

I asked my husband to marry me on 29th of february as it is the only day of the year when it is traditionally allowed!! ;)
