Sometimes I post pics and they don't go in for a day or more,sometimes not at all. If I put them in again they go in, but I don,t want to dupe them , or be an A about it. I just wondered how long should I wait to see if they are going in? Just wondering. You have really put such a great idea together. I have been helped so much, and have found a wonderful new feel to a hobby I thought I had forgotten, for that and everything thanks so much!

In the slower months, images are usually released from the queue within a day of being entered. However, we've had a sudden insurgence of new images, which means I start to "gatekeep" them a little. Here's how it works: I release approximately 50 images per day (that seems to be about the right number for the nightly newsletter.)

Within those 50 images, I try to release an equal amount from everyone who has submitted images. If there are ten people with images in the queue, then 5 images per person will be released. The more submitters there are, the fewer pictures-per-person will be released.

I promise they'll all be released soon: when the queue starts to "bloat" too much, then I release some of them with a prior day's release date. That allows me to siphon off the excess without them bogging down the nightly newsletters. (Now that I've exhausted every metaphor I could possibly summon, I hope that makes sense!)

I do try to look for duplicates, but sometimes I miss them - one gets released one day, then the duplicate gets released the next, so please take a close look at your member page and let me know if you spot any duplicates among the images you've submitted.
