Gypsy Queen x Jean Pasko seeds

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Update: Seeds from this cross are all gone...

These ones seem to take a while to germinate ... the ones I planted took 3 or 4 weeks and they were fresh from the pod. Don't give up on them too quickly.

Edgewater, MD(Zone 7a)

Hey Sue, I got my seeds yesterday, Im going to get them started today, Thank you soooooo much. Pretty soon Ill take picks of the DL seeds too, most of them sprouted and are doing great. Oh I cant wait till next year now, its almost cruel for these plants to make people wait so long.LOL

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

I agree Janet. But if you start more seeds every year you'll always have new blooms to look forward to! The hard part is figuring out where to put all the new babies ;)

St. Louis, MO(Zone 6b)

poppysue, Do you have any seeds left? I would like to try to germinate some. I've not been having great success with germinating my seeds so far but am not giving up - just learning from my mistakes. PLMK. Thanks, Padre

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

Sue, are these more yellow/orange blooms? They look like it in the photo :)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Dravenat, you may still get blooms from these seeds by the end of the summer, early fall. Fertilize tons! I will keep a great thought for you!

Padre, do not get discouraged. I am having much more luck this year than last. And some seeds just take off immediately but others I notice are so tough! Maybe you have just gotten the tough ones so far.

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

I'd love some seeds if there are any left. PLMK

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Morph, both GQ and JP start out yellow or gold and darken to orange. JP turns orange around the rim of the corolla. GQ is more orange through out.

This is GQ at her darkest color...

Oh Wow Sue, that is huge. A real beauty!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Kell, I feel like I'm following you through the forums. Sorry.

Sue, that color is great. I don't think I've seen one that is quite so orange and so even. Very pretty.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Well I couldn't have a nicer person right behind me, Brugie! LOL

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks Kell. ;-)

Dayton, OH(Zone 5a)

Thanks, Sue, for clarifying. It is a gorgeous color online and was just curious if it was the same in real life!

Poppysue,
I am having the best luck with your seeds so far. They are germinating nicely and look very healthy.
Thank you for sharing.

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

Poppysue, did you get my e-mail asking for some seeds? Do you want me to send postage?

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Betty, I got your e-mail... and you did send postage ;) I have the envelope now and the seeds will go out today.

Ashton, IL(Zone 5a)

poppysue, the seeds came yesterday *with a bonus*! Thanks very much. My current seedlings are from a round robin - some Cypress Garden crosses - and they are getting big, I need some tiny babies to care for. I'm gonna start these soaking today.
Thanks again,
Eileen

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

poppysue, do you have any of these seeds left? I would like to give them a try.

Your day lily seedlings are growing nicely, and I'll post a photo later, thank you.

*sigh* another senior moment...

Ashton, IL(Zone 5a)

Poppysue, I just realized that the bonus seeds I rec'd are Rosamond x (Ursuline+Cuba2 hybrid). And I reeeally like Rosamond! What is the hybrid like?

Eileen

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Ursuline x Cuba2 is a RHN hybrid that I grew from seed. The flowers is pale apricot, long tendrils, and a nice fragrance. Last summer was the first year it bloomed. I'm hoping this summer it will prove to be worthy of a name.

This is it with Rosamond, the pollen parent.

Poppysue,

I have a recently acquired Brug addiction. I'm just learning, but if you still have some seed I would love to give them a try.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Sue, it is beautiful. The summer flower should be even better.

Ashton, IL(Zone 5a)

Wow. Both are just gorgeous. Thanks for sharing with me, I feel so fortunate to have the seeds. It's like being rich!!!!
Eileen
