is there a statewide newspaper in texas

Here in arkansas we have a newspaper arkansas democrat gazette, it's a state wide paper, every major city has this paper for sale. is there a paper like this in texas. any texans out there? I sell alot of my pups in texas, the people come from texas to get them, so I thought about listing in texas, if there's a statewide paper liket here is here, not sure if this is the right forum to post this, i'll post in the pet forum too.

Does Texas have a network of newspapers run by a common publisher? I know here the paper is owned by Thompson News Service and they have papers all over Ohio. Advertisers can choose which of the markets to cover and get price breaks that way. Also, if there are any "Advertiser" papers or "Tradin' Times" type papers, they might be good.

What kind of dogs do you breed?

There are some large newspapers in TX. All the major cities. I know of the Fort Worth Star Telegram and the San Antonio Express but don't know the names of Houston or Dallas newspapers.

Gardenwife, We raise Redbone coondog pups, their registered with champion bloodlines alot of folks are coming from texas to buy them their buying our newspaper, cause I asked them how they found out about our pups you can also see all the classified section of our newspaper on line for free, so that's probably how they see our ads there. Our pups are only $l50.00 each, most sell their champion pups for over 300.00 or so, but even at l50.00 we stil have pups that are close to 4 months when their finally sold, I keep them long enough, I fear they won't sell at that price around here, or I know they won't. I get jewed down all the time LOL. I wasn't sure which big city to advertise in, but Jeese, I've had soo many calls on the pups, that almost all the 4 week olds that aren't even in the paper are already have deposits on them. LOL I might wait til next time to advertise in texas, My sis lives in michigan you don't see any redbones up there, she said I could get a fortune for them up there. LOL But she didn't mention wanting to put them up til they were sold LOL. OUr parents and pups are so well taken care of, they might freeze up there. LOL they sleep under heat lamps at night and fans in the summer time. LOL
