information on festivals

Judsonia, AR(Zone 7b)

I'm looking to find information on diff festivals that go on in other areas, not necessarily in my state, where does one find information, on yearly festivals in other places.

Are you wanting gardening festivals, craft festivals, music festivals...All of the above?

Here's one link: http://festivalnet.com/events.html?fn00056

That's a GREAT site GW, Thanks from me too. This is one of the funnest (word?) things to do, and also cheapest. Just gas to get there and enough money to indulge in whatever regional food that the booths have. Here in Fort Pierce we just finished a three day Greek festival (OPAH!) and a Cattleman's parade that ended with a BBQ (YE-HAW!) The first Friday of every month they close off downtown, put up craft and food booths and have a great live band. Our regional goodies are heavy on BBQ, Conch Fritters, Conch Salad, Conch etc, etc, etc. Come join us sometime.

is this right? you can't find any detailed information on what the festival is about or what they do there unless your apaid member of this website? still checking into this, I can't find out any info unless i'm a member, not even a phone number to call.

from what I understand, this is more for people who want to be a vendor or something like that, right? I guess I can get an idea of what's happening at that time though.

Once you know of an event, it's usually pretty easy to find more info about it by checking regional sites. Various chambers of commerce are great resources - type a city and state into Google and most of the time the "official" sites are the first to come up.

For Wisconsin-Check the state Dept. of Tourism; Madison Chamber of Commerce; Dane County WI, Door County WI and Milwaukee WI on Google-should list # of events. We just had " Kites on Ice"-Huge kites from all over-flying single and others in formation over one of the frozen lakes-great fun
