I figure the dave's garden crew are fairly adept at online shopping and they no doubt surf plenty of plant pages.
I just re-designed my website, been working real hard on it.
I'd appreciate a few trial testers to surf it, click everything, and try to find something wrong with it.
or at the very least give me as many constructive suggestions as they can. (hard to be objective when it's just me)
please don't mention the lack of pictures in certain sections, alot of those are in the works and are getting listed in the next week or so.
thanks alot,
Drew
need a favor
Drew...I don't know where your website is.
Is it advertising if you show the link here?
Drew. bring on the link. I don't think of testing as being advertising, but if it is a no-no, feel free to email me a link. I do lots of online shopping.
Helen
I assumed so, hate to be accused of advertising anyway.
webpage is in my profile.

Drew, stumbled onto your website this past weekend and thought it much improved. I especially like pics - easy to navigate..good show!
OK Drew, I have questions, unless I missed the answers somewhere.
Why are most plants listed as herbs?
If I was looking for flowers or shrubs, I would have left--thinking you didn't carry anything but herbs, ferns and Pelargoniums...
What size plant are you offering?
I don't buy anything without knowing just what I'm getting!
You asked for it :)
BTW, it does look much better!
Vi
That's true Vi. I forgot about everything being under herbs. In fact, if I had not known it was Drew's site, I might not have looked at as much.
I thoroughly enjoyed roaming through your site and am still trying to decide just what plants i want...
I found navigating it quite easy..
Drew, I've been checking your site for months now waiting for you to get the ferns listed. I'm thrilled, and it's great!!! Whoever did it did a good job. I'm going back to surf more, just wanted to tell you.
I was wondering about the herb thing too. Very nice site. I had no trouble getting around either by poking or diret search. Size would also be helpful. I like the remarks. Some definately get a grin.
Janice
Drew, I am going to post a separate post for each thing I find because my mind works that way and I don't keep track.
Plus my time snippets are that way too.
First of all when I click your first link in your sidebar it takes me to an error message that tells me
"Sorry, we could not find "www.beantreesoap.com/www.beantreesoap.co..."
that was of course on the beantreesoap website.
Other than that, it looks maaaahvelous to me. Great improvement... I'll continue to click.

yah, I was thinkin about the herb thing today...
was gonna re-name it "Herbs & Others"
I guess I lumped em into herbs, because thats how I grow in the houses...
geraniums in one house, herbs/others in another house, ferns in the rest.
I had pot size listed previously, for some reason we lost it.... have to get that back up.
98% of em are 4inch pots anyhow, should be easy to make a bulk claim.
thanks for the help, I'll get all these things worked out.
please, tell me what else is wrong with my page :-) it's actually very helpful, and don't worry, I won't be insulted.
Drew
did you want spelling checked too? I've always seen statice with 2 't's. You have it with 3 at the bottom of the home page. I may be wrong - too lazy to get up and check the dictionary! :)
edited to ask: what zone would the hardy 'Tatting Fern' be able to survive in?
This message was edited Feb 11, 2004 11:21 PM
kooger, yah the mrs wrote that last nite... I'll have to look at thier business card to see.
Tatting is a cultivar of the lady fern. Treat the same. I'd say zone 6 for sure. Zones are difficult with ferns since they are in the shade and thus already somewhat protected. For example, having ferns under an oak that'll loose it's leaves in the winter is MUCH different than under a bunch of pine trees. I've seen many that are very hardy die in somewhat temperate zones and vice versa.
factor in proper mulching, snow cover etc and you have a real hard call. That is why I listed them tropical, tender, hardy.
drew
drew, this picture is sized wrong for the pop-up window.
Asparagus densiflorus ‘Meyersii
Thanks Drew. How tall would this fern grow? Or does that depend a lot on location, like hostas? I'm really wanting to give it a try but it would be behind my hostas so I would want it to be probably 16" or taller.
thanks Tig, I noted a few pelargoniums being mis-sized as well.
Kooger, yes it would grow above that, but hostas would no doubt be a bit ummm overbearing for such a fine cultivar, better to use it as a specimen plant...
In 4b in Iowa, I would actually have to suggest one of the hardier Polystichum, like species aculeatum or brauni
the male fern Dryopteris filix-mas would be great too, it gets 36-48 inches tall.
of course I don't grow or sell any of these as they require a long freeze which, well we really don't get here in south ga.
May I suggest 'The Foliage Gardens as a place to obtain some of these. Sue Olsen is very respected in the hardy fern business... (basically, she's smarter than me)
well, guess I better get to work on my page.
thanks all,
Drew
I don't know if you wanted this type of error checking or not, but, it's the teacher in me....
Itenerary for the Day
Should be
Itinerary for the Day
Other than that, to me it looks great.
