I signed up in November, paid so I could get in on the coops, and there hasn't been hardly any new coops. Found out that just anybody couldn't post on the coop forum listing coops. and Now there seems to be quite a few less coops going on. I'm disappointed. I saw so many really good coops before, and I'm patiently waiting for more. and none are coming up. What good is the l5.00 that I spent, if there aren't going to be that many of them now. Sorry, I don't mean to offend anybody, But since I just joined not too long ago, and paid just for the coops, we should all be wondering this shouldn't we.

Where's the coops I signed up for
kathy_ann - it's winter and people are not buying plants. Often the co-ops are for live plants (like hosta TC's), daylilies (I did one last Fall) - and this just isn't the season. Dave is restricting it to people who check with him first, but I am sure he'll support those who present a good idea.
I'm sure there will be many more - please be patient.
Also, co-ops are run by volunteer members, so, if you see something that is a great deal, consider holding one yourself. Sure, they're labor-intensive, but can also be a good deal of fun and are very much appreciated.
Hopefully, you'll find many more reasons to enjoy this site above and beyond co-ops.
Cheers!
ditto to what sbarr just said. I'm practically hopping up & down in my chair waiting for spring and new coops. I wanted to host one last season and couldn't commit so I'm hoping for this year - just need to wait for spring and decide on what.
Even with the current coops it's too snowy for me to participate. patience... patience...
This is a good time to go through the forums, make plans for what you are interested in having for your gardens and put the bug in people's ears in hopes that one of them will host a co-op that would help you out. I'm patiently waiting to see what the next co-op will be. I'm currently waiting for spring shipment from the three co-ops I was able to get into this fall and last month, the MG co-op. Why I thought I had to have more stuff is beyond me, but I can't turn down a good deal. LOL!! Hang in there...I'm sure there will be something going on this spring.

I'm hoping that someone will do another rose co-op. I have a couple of those I'd like to order, but probably more like six if I could get by with it. :-)
Thanks guys for giving me a bit of relief, I was getting worried there weren't going to be that many coops, I just joined at the wrong time of the year LOL .
I'll patiently wait for spring, although i'm biting at the bit, and all nails are down to the nub now.
thanks sbarr for doing the mg coop that I did get in on. I know it's such hard work for those doing the coops.

oh yeah, I did forget to mention, I meant I just subscribed for the coops. I have already gotten such great pleasure out of being here on daves. I've had alot of fun, & learned alot, even got in on a trade or two so far. Please don't get me wrong, I do think this is a wonderful place. PLease forgive my harshness before.
I will keep an eye out on the coop forum for spring swaps.

Well said, Kathy Ann...and WELCOME to the Garden. Nice to have you. Jo ( who NEVER does co-ops) LOL Jo
I wonder why the posts are coming up twice? I notice that my first post isn't complete, but the second one is. I only posted one time. Could it be because it is taking so long to do anything on Daves today?
Imagine me!
I see all the GOOD Co-ops going and cannot be in any of them!
I still enjoying to read about every single one and have pleasure when I "see" in my mind's eye the lovely plants and happy faces of all my DGs friends when they receive their nice little plants!
kathy_ann , it is lovely to belong to DGs garden family, I just love it!
I'm sure you too, will be happy to be among your new gardening friends.
Trust me, There will be more than enough co-ops , in fact, my dh made me draw up a Daves Gardening budget for this year LOL! Now, if I can just stick to it.........
that is funny sharon!!! and a GOOD idea!!! haha maybe i'll make a joint budget for ebay, dave's and HD/Lowe's. hahahah....riiiiiiight, like we're gonna stick to it!
your right brugie, posts are coming up twice, go figure. it might have something to do with the fact that both you and I posted back to back like we did, maybe that's why, nobody else posted twice and it didn't happen to them. your second post is a little diff than your first, not sure though why it happened.

i'm headed off to the kitchen now to make goatmilk soap, in orange vanilla and fresh ginger lime, yum, I just love the fresh ginger lime, the orange vanilla is a new scent. I love citrus scents. I have some time on my hands, imagine that. hasn't happened in ages.
art_n_garden, your right of course! I know as soon as those great deals from the co-ops start flooding in, my budget will fly out the window, LOL. I have the same problem at Home Depot and Lowes also. I have never been on Ebay, I have too many addictions now to add another one LOL!
:D
