Would you beleive an Ice Palace closed because of cold weather. That's what happened this morning. Air temp was-24º, wind was 15MPH. Officals were afraid people would freeze waiting in line to go through, so it didn't open until noon.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Oh, that's BEAUTIFUL! I looked at that webcam and noticed they cycle different colors of spotlights on it. That must really be something in person. I can't imagine cold like that...We're getting down below zero tonight, and with the windchill it will be around -20; I think it's the coldest night we've had this year, coldest night in a long time, actually.

They run a light show in there every half hour. Havn't seen that, but is supposed to be beautiful.
The National Hockey League all star game is in St. Paul, so I would think the Ice Palace will get a lot of national coverage. That happens Sunday, Feb. 8.

Holy Smokes!!!!!They just showed the Ice Palace on the start of the Hockey Allstars, the pictures do not do it justice!!!!!Wow Bernie!!!

It shut down last night for people to go through it.
Monday it will be demolished. It's in a park so I suppose has to be taken down because of safety factor.
750,000 people went through it.
I would imagine it will be on TV a lot today!
