I collect Donald Ducks (much harder than Mickey Mouse) and hummingbird items. The Donald Duck collection started from a ceramic set of Donald, Huey, Dewy and Louey that was given to me about 37 years ago by my Dad. The hummingbird collection was started by friends that knew I had hummer feeders. And once you have more than 3 of any item, all of a sudden, you are a collector!

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil(Zone 11)

I don´t want to sound like a retard, but... I used to collect Pokémon stuff -.-

That goes with my stamp albums, my comic books and the brazilian editions of National Geographic magazines (from mid 70's to now, an habit I got from my father).

Fireking! Got loads of fireking. lol. Animals (live). Artifacts and this is wierd but, Bones. Have a human spine and a few animal bones. After my room is finished it is going to be like an old museum.

(Zone 5b)

I collect (and use) old fountain pens and pencils, and I have a couple of inkwells and pen holders. It's really fun to clean the pens and get them into working order. I can't fix all kinds though. I keep thinking about getting the specialty tools but then I think I'd chicken out when it came time to taking apart certain pen styles.

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

The particular pattern of Depression Glass in the photograph is 'Adam' made from 1932 to 1934 by the Jeanette Glass Company. I have a set of pink and a set of green in this pattern and have been collecting it since I was about 10 years old. I've even got most of the hard to find serving pieces. I also have a set of 'Miss America' in pink and a partial set of 'Dogwood' in pink too. I have a set of Goblets called 'Fancy Colonial'and untold numbers of oddball pieces.

Lewisburg, KY(Zone 6a)

That is a lot of glassware! I am sure the table is beautiful when you use it.

I collect postcards. Aside from the fact that I like them, they also have the practical features of not taking up much space and being earthquake resistant.

Lewisburg, KY(Zone 6a)

Hi, Kelli
My sixteen year old collects postcards. She has some great one of where we have traveled. I wish that I had collected them over the years.

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

My Father was collecting plates. As in plate sets. Such as Annie, Gone with the wind, The King and I, and several others. Since he passed away in 92 my Mother has decided to sell them all.
I'm thinking of putting them on ebay to sell for her.

I myself use to collect pigs and cows anything that looked like a cow/pig...I'd buy it! Finally got tired of them all, so they are all packed up.
Now I just collect dust hee hee

Does Clothing and Shoes count? I'm terrible with clothes and shoes both, and have WAY WAY WAY too much of both, so do the kids, and hubby.

I really don't collect that much I have a decent amount of cookbooks, I've got 50-60 community cookbooks, and at least that many regular cookbooks. I used to collect Angels, got tired of them when everyone else started collecting them, so I boxed mine up. I've got a lot of books, I don't know whether I'd call them a collection or not, but I buy any old history or Text book I can get my hands on...

I've got a few old kitchen utensils, a bit of old glassware, nothing spectacular, I'm a pack rat, so everything is a collection of sorts. LOL

I've got a few Hummels, a few other odds n ends... our most expensive collection by far is 1/24 Scale Die Cast NASCAR cars. I bought him one before we got married, and it's been his addiction since.

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

Lately I have been collecting a lot of junk mail. Egads I don't want it and have told them so too.

Paxton, FL(Zone 8a)

I collect lots of things I don't need, plus lots of dust. But what I really eagle-eye for when I'm at flea markets or yard sales is pine needle baskets/white oak baskets, old tools we don't have, old ceramic/glassware, garden art, fabric (I don't sew much, just love fabric, maybe one day), and lots of other stuff I don't need.

Navarre (NW FL), FL(Zone 8b)

I collect live insects and antique nautical things like old ship steering wheels (usually made of oak), ship brass windows, brass mirrors, brass lamps and any of those sort of things.
