PDB question

Frederick, MD(Zone 6a)

Is there a way to sort entries that have no photos? I had promised myself to seek the "blanks" out and offer photos where possible. Thanks

Dea, that's a great resolution, and we'd love to have any images you wish to submit. However, there's currently not a way to sort the PDB by photo/no photo.

Terry, trying to upload some newly acquired conifers on PDB - DUH, like I'd remember my password.....how soon will it be e-mailed to me? Thanks LOL

Hey, Dea- I've sent you three emails now, plus however many you requested through the system. Hopefully at least one of the last two I sent will get through (I sent them about 10 minutes ago :)

Thanks so much - just got the one from another source and so thanks again :)

Dea, any plant can have more than one picture. So why not add yours if they are sharp and descriptive?

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Dea, did you get my followup email? (Hope so :) I'm so glad one of the earlier ones finally got through - I was getting concerned that you wouldn't get your password.

And to followup on Ulrich's comment, entries can definitely have more than one photo. It's especially nice to have several different shots - full plant view, closeup of blooms, seeds, bark, leaves, etc. for ID assistance and informational purposes.

Yes and thanks! Working on my camera skills :) I did submit a new entry for thuja plicata whipcord. How do you know if a PDB new entry is received?

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Well, *I* know that particular entry was received (saw it this morning :) Until the nightly update runs, new entries won't show up in a search, so the best way to find them during that first 24-hour (+/-) period, you can go to your member page and access the plants you've entered.

Images are a little different - you should get a confirmation message after you submit an image, telling you it has been received and will soon be released into the PDB. It's important to not use your "back" browser button or leave the page until you see that message.

Holler if you need more help!
