Has anyone had any experience with Japanese or Chinese Wingnuts? I'm in Zone 9, East of Houston, Texas. They are reported to be very fast growing and tough trees.

Japanese Wingnut Trees
I have two little ones that have been out there for probably 5 years and not grown much at all, but I'm in Zone 5, sometimes 4, so your experience would be much different. They are definitely survivors, but I'm not so sure about the fast growing bit.
Kathleen,
Thanks for the observation. I'll let you know how mine are doing as time goes by. The arboretium in Nacadoches, Texas has had a good experience with them, so I thought that I'd give them a try.
Regards,
