Welcome home Susie

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

You might be right, Root! Just the thought of a gator creeps me out, you should have SEEN what a fool I made of myself a couple of nights ago when I found a possum eating the cat food on my front porch! Standing on the park bench, poking at it with a six foot plant stake, spraying it with lysol, and yelling at it to go away!

Maben, MS(Zone 7b)

Susie, I'm so proud you finely got moved to your new home. Your home looks beautiful and I know you will enjoy it. Proud Lauren has met new freinds but knew she would because she is such a sweetie.

We're in for a snow storm tonight and suppose to get 7 inches of snow with hail and rain. Sure wish I was there to enjoy the weather with cha and I love your new home.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Glad to see you back and all settled. Sounds like a incredible new home. Pssst Gators love big marshmallows and sugar cookies. Maybe not as nutritional but lots cheaper than steak or chicken. LOL

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Lol CC... are you gonna come pick me up? Better bring a double-rig cuz there aint NO WAY I'd leave DH alone with my seedlings. I'll have to bring them with me.

70º sounds pretty good about now. I have a cat I can bring to feed the gater. Matter of fact... I bet my dog would be a tastey morsel too.

Sue ,I figure root can distract him while we run in...

he can distract it with Hibiscus's mad cow.....and the cat and dog running around is sure to confuse it......then root can run in too.....

And Root, I think I resemble that remark! Now I am Kell Godzilla??? Come on over here Rooty, come on over, do not be shy........... I just want to zilla you!

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear that you're all moved into your gorgeous new home and beginning to get that "settled in" feeling'!!!

How many spare bedrooms did you say you had??? 50 degrees F sounds like heaven, right about now! Are you close to Padre Island???

We're expectin' a snow storm tonight comin' up from the South (probably the one you left behind in TN!!). It's makin' a bee line for MD on route to NJ (watch out Kristi!), then turnin' Northwest towards C.C.'s winter wonderland and finally reaching Poppysue's in Maine (BBBRRRRrrrr), NOW THAT's CCCOLD (can't type cause my fingers are frozen & icicles are hangin' from my nnnose!) :~)

Thanks Kaufman. I had those blooming at the same time I had a similar one in white blooming so I crossed them! I have these paper thin seeds now. I wonder how long they take to go from seed to flower.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Wow -- those will be knockouts! But, from what I remember reading once, I think you'll have a while to wait before you're able to admire the "fruits" of your labor...

edited to correct a typo -- its been a long day of moving landscaping rocks LOL

Well, I hate to tell you guys this, but it was in the 80's today, sunny after a foggy start to the morning. I worked in the gardens for a while, then went to work on some furniture I'm trying to refinish. Here is a picture from the back patio. If you look close, you will see a Great Kiskadee sitting on the pool ladder.
The gator likes chicken, the original recipe from KFC.(actually they are hibernating now, won't be out for a few more weeks). We also have javalinas, oselots(sp?), coyotes and assorted water birds here. I meant to get a picture of the resaca today, but got sidetracked watching birds! I also saw a wine colored dragonfly. I'll never figure out what all this stuff is around here! Took me all morning to figure out what kind of bird was sitting on my pool ladder. We also have a pair of Golden-fronted Woodpeckers. They are gorgeous!(and little piggies for food).

Here is a picture of one of the scheffeleras growing beside the house. Don't look at the mess of pots sitting around it.Bill wants to trim it back, but I think it's a great place to hide things behind!

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

ok now I am really jealous. I could be there taking a nice swim and here I am freezing with a ice everywhere.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

OK, I ran out to take a picture of the resaca. It's almost too dark, but I think you can see it. I also took a picture of the beautiful sunset which I will post next.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Looks like Paradise, Susie, I know you are going to like it there. I sure would, except for that durned aligator! Don't go "skinnydippin'.
