Daily Newsletter

Hi Dave,
On first joining Dave's Garden I 'ticked the box' in my preferences section to receive the daily newsletter. On a number of occassions I have not received it ( today being one)and on returning to my preferences page I find the checkbox has been cleared ( thus no newsletter to enjoy). Is there a known bug ( presumably at your end?) which could be causing this or are you trying to protect me from information overload?

Hi David,

The newsletter system at Dave's Garden automatically unsubscribes members from the mailings when the email address bounces. If you are no longer receiving the newsletter, it is likely that your email address has bounced back to us in recent times, and the system automatically unsubscribed you.

Getting back on the newsletter list is simple. Once you're logged in, go to your preferences page http://davesgarden.com/preferences.php and make sure that the check is placed in the newsletter checkbox (and make sure to click on Submit!)

You might also check with your ISP to determine what might have caused the bounce, so it doesn't happen again (ISPs shouldn't be bouncing legitimate mail for folks.) Please let us know if we can be of further service.

Thanks Dave,
I know that AOL does appear to reject some perfectly legitimate mail, and it appears to depend on which server it is routed through, although it is hard to see what characteristic of the News Letters could cause this, especially since I do seem to receive a good quota of overtly sexual spam which I would like them to filter!
I'll have a word with AOL, but on past experience it won't get me very far!
