How about a "Gardening Events" calendar or forum?

Dave I just saw a message about a plant sale in Delaware over on the MG forum. It made me think it would be very cool if we had a way (a forum, or something more like a journal, since it would be date sensitive) to enter gardening events in our area.

I have never seen anything like this idea on any other gardening site, but I think it could help some of our local gardening clubs and organizations to catch the attention of a broader gardening audience.

Dave, this is pretty much what I was envisioning - a listing of events taking place "today" or "this week" (or "this month" if that's not too much stuff), and a calendar where you can click for future events.

The only potential problem is that the same event might get entered more than once, but those issue would probably work themselves out over time.

What does everyone else think? I don't want to be the only one who would use it ;0)

good idea terry-i posted a upcoming plant trade in mich. under plant trades-but a event forum would really be nice DAVE!!!
